109 Rust: Cut two 9 3/8" x WOF strips Sub-cut eighteen small triangles (note the orientation of the triangles before cutting. These triangles will be sewn on the left side of the block. (Template A) 146 Dark Gray: Cut two 9 3/8" x WOF strips Sub-cut eighteen small triangles (note the orientation of the triangles before cutting. These triangles will be sewn on the right side of the block (Template H) Making the Blocks: This quilt has eighteen blocks, six have Q4502 Maroon for the center triangle, six have Q4501 Slate for the center triangle and six have Q4504 Burgundy for the center triangle. The remaining fabrics are the same in each block.
1. Sew a 128 Ginger strip to each long side of a large triangle. Trim bottom of strips even with the base of the triangle. Measure 12 1/2" from the base and trim the top of the strips.

2. Repeat step 1 to add the Q4503 Ice Blue strips to both sides.
Measure 12 1/2" from base and trim.

3. Repeat step 1 to add 149 Mineral to the left side and 163 Wild Rose to the right
side, trimming the width to 24 1/2". The height should still be 12 1/2".

4. Sew a 109 Rust triangle to the left side and a 146 Dark Gray triangle to the right side to complete the block.
5. Repeat steps 1–4 to make a total of six blocks with Q4502 Maroon for the center triangle, six with Q4501 Slate for the center triangle and six with Q4504 Burgundy for the center triangle.

6. Arrange the blocks in three columns of six matching blocks each, turning every other block upside down. Sew the blocks together into columns.
7. Sew the columns together.
8. Sew the eight 149 Mineral 2 1/2" strips together end to end. Cut two lengths 72 1/2" long for the border #1 side strips and two lengths 76 1/2" long for the border #1 top and bottom strips. Sew the side strips to the quilt, followed by the top and bottom strips.
9. Sew the nine Q4504 Burgundy 4 1/2" strips together end to end. Cut two lengths
76 1/2" long for the border #2 side strips and two lengths 84 1/2" long for the border #2 top and bottom strips. Sew the side strips to the quilt followed by the top and bottom strips.

10. Layer and baste together the backing, batting and quilt top. Quilt as desired. Bind with 149 Mineral.
