Tottenham Hotspur Foundation Equipped, enabled, empowered The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation (THF) has a dedicated Equalities and Inclusion team that supports and underpins all areas of the organisation to provide opportunities for inclusivity. In line with their commitment to accessibility, THF designed a Disability Awareness Course with input from the Club’s Disability Liaison Officer and their training provider, Oyster. The course gives Tottenham Hotspur stewards the knowledge to provide a high quality experience for disabled people who attend Tottenham Hotspur matches. It focuses on how the stewards can enhance the match-day experience for supporters, using scenarios and stadium-specific examples to make the learning experience as real as possible. The course also provides the stewards with a personal development plan, including areas such as basic British Sign Language Training. Skills and experience continue to grow beyond the delivery of the course, thanks to the continuing input from THF staff as well as local partners (such as Enfield Children & Young Persons’ Services, and the Enfield Independence and Well Being Service for older people) who ensure that the course has local input and expertise.
