REVIVE WITH US!

The Archdiocese of New York launched five months ago an evangelization program called Revive: Faith Every Day. This program consists in every parish throughout the archdiocese

experiencing a three day mission which would be held in one of our cluster parishes. This three day mission program will beheld in our parish on June 5, 6, and 7 at 7:30 pm

Theme: WHAT ARE YOU LIVING FOR? Preacher: Father Arthur, an Augustinian priest from Villanova University

Monday: Everbody lives with a purpose ( even if you don't realize it) For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21. Prayer service with scripture, a sermon, lay witnessing, inspirational music

Tuesday: How do I know God’s purpose for me? We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 Prayer service with scripture, a sermon, lay witnessing, inspirational music & confession

Wednesday: Finding our purpose together in the Church But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to be saved. Through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth-2 Thessalonians 2:13 Holy Mass with scripture, a sermon, lay witnessing, inspirational music & anointing of the sick

RENEW+REBUILD It was just one year ago that our parish, along with 11 other parishes throughout the archdiocese, became “pilot” parishes for the RENEW+REBUILD Capital Campaign. The goal for the archdiocese of NY is $200 million dollars. Our individual parish goal was $1.6 million. We were pleased that we were able to raise these funds in pledges and payments that will be fulfilled over a period of five years. The parish established that these monies would be raised for the following purposes: 1. Repave the parish parking lot (completed in August 2016 at a cost of $61 K (Paid) 2. Replace all light fixtures with LED lights in the church and lower hall of the church (Zoeller Center), as well as the exterior of the church, school and parish gym. In addition to a significant rebate from O & R, we will begin to see significant reduction of our electric bills.(completed in May 2017) at a cost of $58 K ( not paid) 3. The HVAC in the church has been upgraded to be more energy efficient. (completed in April 2017 at a cost of $54K (Paid) 4. Complete remodeling of the parish rectory and 5. Reduce our debt on the church and new property. The debt on the new property was $516K in September 2016; now reduced to $381,042. To All of our parishioners who continue to be good stewards of the parish (spiritually and monetarily), we wish to express our deepest gratitude.

CALENDAR ~ SEPTEMBER 2017~ JUNE 2018 Once again, it is time to start preparing our calendar for September. We are asking the leaders of all organiza-

tions/committees to put together their schedule. This schedule is for the Church, church basement, parish center etc. Please email the parish office at [email protected]. The deadline is June 15th.

Remember that holydays, holidays and Religious Education activities take precedence over all other events. Our facilities are so well used that there is not much room unless we plan ahead of time for everyone's benefit.

Thank you for your cooperation! ABSOLUTELY, NO DATES WILL BE TAKEN OVER THE PHONE!

PARISH COUNCIL SELECTION PROCESS The council offers helpful advice to the pastor, parish priests and parish staff. It receives reports and makes valuable

suggestions on all parish programs and activities. It evaluates current services and suggests new and improved approaches. We need, in our parish and in every parish, a structured group that meets for suggestions, feedback and

constructive criticism of all parish operations. We need to know how parishioners view their families’ needs and make reasonable responses. We need to make our own wise observation of John Gardner about all institutions:

“Love without criticism brings stagnation. Criticism without love brings destruction.” We are having our selection process for new members for the coming year. Nominations and selections will take

place in June with new members joining the Council in September. We encourage you to consider yourself or someone you think may be interested in serving on this committee.

Return the nominations to the parish office by June 5th in a sealed envelope marked “Parish Council.” I would like to nominate myself I wish to nominate another person (wih permission)
