Komal- But what’s the guarantee that next month you won’t be short on your target again? (Jokingly) And also, forwarding this lead to you would mean letting off of a great opportunity and high incentives as you know XYZ is not like any other Tom Dick Harry client. Avoidance:

Khushboo- Have you prepared the report I asked you to make yesterday?

Prathma- Yeah, here it is! (Passing on some papers)

Khushboo- Thank You so much! I wasn’t in town otherwise I would have made it myself. You saved me;

the boss wants to see it today. I’ll just go through it.

Prathma- No problem!

Khushboo- Did you made some additions or deletions yourself? It is not exactly what I asked you to do!

Prathma- What are you talking about? How do I know what exactly had to be done? It’s not my job after

all. You asked for help so I did the best that I could do!

Call: Khushboo- Yes sir, will be there in a minute!

Call disconnect: Khushboo- I am so dead!

Going in the cabin and coming out frustrated

Khushboo- I told you, this is not how it should have been done. Now come with me and tell boss, it was

you who did it.

Prathma- Do whatever you want. Don’t try to pull me along in it. (and moves out of the scene)

Accommodation:

Komal- Hey guess what, I just got the lead of the XYZ client.

Moderator- XYZ is considered as one of the most profitable clients.

Akanksha- Oh wow, really? Lucky you! You already outstandingly cracked the target and now you have

the best lead in hand. And look, there are people like me who are nowhere near the basic target. I wish I

had your luck. Hey, I have an idea. Why don’t you forward this lead to me so that I can hit my targets

and make some incentives this month too. Next month, I’ll help you out with your targets.

Komal- But what’s the guarantee that next month you won’t be short on your target again? (Jokingly)

And also, forwarding this lead to you would mean letting off of a great opportunity and high incentives

as you know XYZ is not like any other Tom Dick Harry client.

Akanksha- You are not getting my point. I am into some financial crisis this month. I need this badly.

Komal- Well, if that’s the case, you can have it.

Akanksha- Thanx yaar, means a lot.

Competition:

Akanksha: Yes, 10 sales in a day. I am ought to be the high roller this month.

Khushboo: Akanksha, we need to talk. I just got the news that you jumped into my territory and even

took my 7 sales. It’s unethical, you know?

Akanksha: Let me explain, I was working in the neighboring territory from where I got the reference of

your area. I tried calling you but your number was unreachable.

Khushboo: Whatever maybe the reason, you should have consulted me before taking any actions. And

even if I wasn’t available, you could have waited for a day.

Akanksha: My targets were at stake so I couldn’t wait. Ultimately, we both are working for the same

team. Results are our primary motive, don’t get personal.

Khushboo: You took the opportunity to your advantage. It will take you nowhere.

Akanksha: We will see…

Compromise:

At a sales team meet, the topic of the discussion is how to generate better revenues and what should be

the further strategies. The suggested plans for the same are being discussed by 2 employees.

Komal- In my opinion, both the plans are good but your plan would give short term results only.

Prathma- That is what is the need of the hour!

Komal- I am getting your point but don’t you think the plan I suggested is better if we get foresighted?

Prathma- But that would take more time and at this point, we immediately need to combat this

problem.

Komal- But my friend, we are also not in a state to build new strategies time and again. We need a fool

proof plan.

Prathma- But my plan guarantees results and that too fast.

Komal- So does mine. But if you feel it’s better to go with your plan, we can give it a green flag. If ever

the need arises, we would work on my plan then.

Collaborate:

Komal- Hey, I heard Steve is suffering from jaundice and his share of target is to be allocated. Now we

need to discuss and decide who will be taking the responsibility? Would anyone like to volunteer on her

own?

Page 3: Conflict management

Moderator- Prathma, who is already a high roller says,

Prathma- I am already working way too hard on my targets. I think E3 should work on this as his

previous performance has not been up to the mark.

Khushboo- I haven’t been able to perform in sync with my allocated targets, how will I manage with the

extra burden?

Komal- If this is the case, let’s just come together and work for the team target. Does anyone have any

issues with this?

Prathma- This seems like a nice idea.

Khushboo- Even I am ready to work like this.
