FaB Factor Girl Scout Ambassadors from Troop 51249 of Math, Science,

and Technology High School in Lawrence are graduating!

We are so proud of everything they’ve achieved.

Here’s how they bid farewell to the sisters they gained four years ago, and all the memories they formed

along the way.

“I learned so much from Girl Scouts, whether it be from a workshop, the Destination I went on (Wales Tales and Trails), or the endless nights of talking and bonding as a group.

Because of that, I’m so grateful for each and every one of my Girl Scout sisters. You’ve all taught me something.

“I didn’t know what to expect going into this trip to New York City.

I found that us Girl Scout sisters have a unique bond fueled by our unyielding troop leaders,

Sacha and Natasha.

Our laughs and unforgettable memories are what I will hold dear as we go our separate ways.

I can’t think of a better way to start this new chapter in our lives and end the other.

“I can’t believe it has been four years since we met on the fourth floor at school for the first day of Girl Scouts.

I can’t describe how it feels to know how different we all are, but because of Girl Scouts we were able to interact.

I know that this isn’t the end for us. A lot of us will still be in each other’s lives. Hopefully we will still cross paths along the way. I am beyond blessed to have met you all.

Being together with everyone these past four years has taught me a lot about myself, others, and especially what it means to be a Girl Scout:

Being a part of something bigger than yourself; involving yourself passionately in something unimaginably amazing.

The trip to New York and the visit to the Girl Scouts headquarters helped put into perspective for me that feelings, hopes and dreams do transcend time.

Four years ago I would not have expected to make this many memories with the same girls that began and ended this journey with me.

There are over eight million people in New York City and I got to spend the past three days with the best people there.

These girls have changed me in the best ways possible and I’ll forever be thankful for every minute I got to spend with them.

As I’m looking back at all the patches and memorabilia that I’ve collected over the past four years, I can’t believe how quickly time has passed. We’ve done so much together! It just hit me that I won’t be seeing you girls every Wednesday and we won’t be going on cool field trips together through Girl Scouting.

I love and have learned so much from each and every one of you.

The troop represented FaB Factor programming at the 2016 Leading Women Awards Breakfast!

They celebrated their last day in the troop by “passing the torch” to the Girl Scout seniors at Math, Science, and Technology High School.

Mayor of Lawrence Daniel Rivera came to one of their troop meetings and made flower crowns with them.

The Ambassadors’ graduation trip to New York City!

The troop visited Girl Scouts of the USA headquarters in New York City and had a surprise meeting with CEO Anna Maria Chávez!
