MAS Mondays at 6.

All VBS workers need to be at the church at 5:30 on Monday, June 9, and no later than 5:45 the rest of the week. Please wear your FBC t-shirts if you have one. If you have not regis-tered your child or their friends, please pick up a registration form on the board outside the Sanctuary door.

We will have a can drive during VBS to benefit the Abortion Alternatives & Women’s Center’s sum-mer food program. All monies collected at VBS will be given to the Angel Tree Christmas program.

Wednesday Camp Fit Kids program begins June 18 for children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Wear tennis shoes!

We have plenty of paper towel tubes and macaroni. Thank you!

Prayer Shawl Group meets Monday, June 16, 6:00PM in the Parlor. Open Heart WOM will meet Thursday, June 19, at 10:00AM in the Parlor. Mission Seekers will meet that evening at 6:30PM. Nursing Home Visitation will be Tuesday, June 24, at Hermitage Health Center. Meet in the lower parking lot at Hermitage at 5:30.

If you would like to help with the Mission Trip to Roan Mountain State Park July 28-31 see Vickie Ford or Carter Blevins.

Our youth have several fundraisers planned to help with the cost of their summer programs, and they need your participation!

On Wednesday, June 4, the meal will be Chick-Fil-A. Any donation accepted, but please make a reservation by June 2 so we’ll know how many meals to order.

For $25 you can have your friends “flocked” in the middle of the night with flamingos in their yard. Or for $20 you can pur-chase Flocking Insurance so this won’t happen to you! For more information contact Jordan Carder at 483-5702 or Becky Street at 737-3457.

Clean out those closets, storage bins, garages, whatev-er you can clean out! Bring it to Youth Department and they will get rid of it for you! Items are now being accepted. The yard sale is scheduled for June 19, 20 and 21 from 8-2 each day!

Visitation/Help — Would you like the youth to help with some work at your house? Or just come by for a visit? Dates available are June 5, June 26, July 10 and July 24. Sign up outside the library or call the office. Please be specific so they can bring the proper tools.

Coming attraction for Seniors and All! Let’s go for lunch to Bandana’s Bar B Que & Grill in Boone, NC, on Thursday, June 26, at 10:45AM sharp. After lunch we’ll shop. Sign up outside the choir room.

A designated fund was approved at the May business conference for a new piano. When giving please notate it on your check or envelope.

From the Missions Committee: If you need funds for a ministry/mission trip, please put your request in writing and give it to one of the com-mittee members. Requests over $500 are submitted to Finance. Happy Father ’s Day June 15! No PM Service .
