This Week at Beth El Parking Tickets to be Issued:  Illegal parking on the two streets behind the shul (Rayland Drive and Maple Ridge Road) has become problematic. County Councilman Andrew Friedson, two police officers, two MoCo Department of Transportation officials, residents of the neighboring streets, and Beth El leadership met to discuss the ongoing issue. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed and subject to towing. As a good neighbor, we need to ensure that each of us works to maintain good relations with those who live next to us. On Shabbat (although rarely at other times), limited parking is generally available at Bethesda United Methodist Church across Old Georgetown Road. If you find it necessary to park on any street behind Beth El, be aware that Montgomery County parking law prohibits parking within five feet of a driveway; vehicles parked in violation of this law may be ticketed and/or towed. The same is true for vehicles parked in areas designated as No Parking. On occasion, there will be orange cones on each side of private driveways indicating that parking is not permitted there; do not move these cones. Please be considerate of Beth El’s neighbors and avoid the inconvenience of your vehicle being ticketed and/or towed by adhering to these simple rules.Sisterhood Zhava Social Acton Tea-"Supporting and Safeguarding Vulnerable Kids in our Community": Sunday, February 23, 2:00 pm at the home of Jana Singer.
