    Introduction

ConMat15 attempts to build on the successes of the first four conferences in Ottawa, Canada (1997), San Jose, USA (2001), Vancouver, Canada (2005) and Nagoya, Japan (2009). The primary objective of ConMat15 is to create an environment of mutual cooperation between experts in Materials and Structures and provide a forum for active dialogue. The Organizers believe that it is only through such a multi-disciplinary approach that significant cross-fertilization of ideas can occur and innovative solutions to our infrastructural inadequacies can be found. Come and be a part of this unique experience.

Venue ConMat15 will be held at the Hilton Whistler Resort and

Spa, British Columbia, Canada. Whistler, the host site for the

2010 Winter Olympics, is located approximately two hours

north of Vancouver. Transport is available by pre-booked

bus or rental car from Vancouver International Airport. Driv-

ing there on the Sea-to-Sky Highway, which passes by spec-

tacular Howe Sound and the glaciated Tantalus Range is part

of the Whistler experience. Whistler Village is one of the

top destination resorts in North America with two of the top

ski resorts in the world and year-round recreational oppor-

tunities. Three championship golf courses, gondola rides to

the high alpine country, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing,

whitewater rafting and helicopter glacier site seeing tours

are some of the attractions of Whistler. Shopping opportuni-

ties and a lively restaurant and night life scene are popular

    Whistler experiences.

Registration & Fees (CND$) The conference registration is online through the confer-ence website (http://conmat15.ic-impacts.com). Fees include a copy of the conference proceedings, attend-ance at all sessions, opening reception, lunches during the conference, closing banquet and cultural performances.
