Overview Of Connected Car
•
• A connected car is a car that equipped with internet accessand usually with wireless local area network. In other words "computer on wheels".
• it enable: Intelligent traffic management,Safety and emergency management andEco driving

Logical architecture for connectedvehicles
Main Requirements of connected cars are:• comprehensive suite of sensors• multi-sensor data fusion architecture• high performance algorithms capable of
providing critical awareness• A centralized architecture to support
inter-connection information transformationand processing.etc

Cloud based control
Let us consider the new possibilities of cloud based service forexternal control and guidance of vehicles.
• Remotely Operated cruise control:where car adapt automatically to slower or faster speed
• Vehicles are controlled by external service:This means the centralize source of information can
manipulate or even control the vehicle behaviour in case ofemergency.

Challenges in realizing connectedservices
Challenges• Driving laws• life cycle of
vehicles andsoftware system
• consumption ofpower andbandwidth
• security
Explanation• Driving Laws varies from country-to-country.• vehicles life cycle is much greater than
software system.• Each car should have certain bandwidth for
reliable communication.• from risk being hacked security protections
must be upgraded.

Connected Cars: concept to reality
1. Few months ago,the connected car existed only at aconceptual level. However, many automobile industries havelaunched models with varient of connected car feature such as:
• Audi (A6)• BMW(328i)• Toyota(Tacoma)• Ford(Fiesta)
2. Explosive growth in smartphones ,wireless sensors andcloud solutions are taking to the next level.

Conclusion
• We have discussed used cases and senarios for futureconnected cars .
• Continuous innovation in sensing and processingtechnology has realized both challenges and opportunitiesof connected cars.
• We see strong indication towards centralizing within thevehicle and efficient processing of sensor data which isbest done by cloud computing.
• In connected cars the work can be separated where cloudservices can provide control over data and local vehiclescan take over local task safety execution.
