I received 44 radiation treatments and at the end of my treatment I was extremely weak. I was not able to go to church for 6 weeks and spent all my time resting and sleeping. I had no idea I would lose that much strength. I was only up for 1-2 hours per day for 6 months. A year ago, I started coming to the YMCA so I could swim. I had to regain my strength. The first time in the pool I could only finish ¼ of a lap, but I came back again and again. Now Im swimming 24 laps! Im regaining my strength a little at a time. You can recover if you are willing to work at it. Its your choice! The YMCA has been a great blessing in my life. Thank you for helping me return to a full recovery. ~Richard NOVEMBER 2017 NEWSLETTER IN THIS ISSUE Page One Y Story: Recovery—A little at a time Page Two Y Adult Programs Parents Night Out-November Thank You!
