Connecting module is designed to make the connection between the body making

module and the rotating table.

Its main purpose is to guide the cut tube body to a vacuum distributor (star wheel) ready to put the tube body onto one of the

12 rotating mandrels.

APPLICATION

While on the transporting band, the tube body is sensored and depends on its quality it can

continue to the vacuum distributor (star wheel) or to be ejected as wastage into the waste bin

under the conveyor.

After cutting, the tube body falls onto a transporting band (1), which is driven by an el. motor (3). When falling onto it, the tube body is immediately detected by a sensor-counter (2).

2

There is a pneumatic sorting mechanism (1) attached to the middle of the conveyor which blows the bad tube bodies into the waste bin (2).

The waste bin has two sections: one for bad quality tube bodies and one for good quality tube bodies, from which you can make in capping station mode good quality tubes at the end of the day.

2. Sorting mechanism

APPLICATION

1. The sorting mechanism ejects good quality bodies due to synchronization between body making module and rotating table.

In order to reduce the % of wastage, we recommend after finish of work these good tube bodies to be collected and to make tubes in capping station mode.

2. Bad quality tube bodies are ejected into the waste bin due to signal from sensor 1002 – laminate joint on the unwinding module, or due to stop/start of body maker.

APPLICATIONLoading mechanism 1

2

Loading mechanism consists of a pneumatic cylinder (2), situated at the end of the conveyor, that push the tube body onto the star wheel (1).

ADJUSTMENT

2. Adjustment of sensor 3003 that registers presence of tube body onto the conveyor

3. Correct positioning of the pneumatic nozzles of the sorting mechanism (up/down)

4. Adjust the metal guiders of the tube body onto the conveyor as per the body diameter

5. Adjust the sensors (for front and back position) of the loading cylinder

6. Adjust the sensor 4013 that registers the tube body in front of the loading cylinder

MAINTENANCE

Description Period

1.Clean the waste bin (good and bad tube bodies)

1. As often as it is necessary2. Every day after finish of work

(use the good quality tube bodies to make tubes in step mode in order to reduce wastage)
