Connecting to your 4 th Generation Apple TV Use AirPlay with Apple TV to mirror your MacBook or iPad to stream music, projects, photos and video wirelessly to Apple TV and other AirPlay – enabled devices that are on the same Wi-Fi network as your OS and iOS devises. Easy Setup: 1. Your OS or iOS device should be connected to the district Wi-Fi Network. The Apple TV is hard wired in and connected to the Network via Ethernet. 2. Ensure that your device is running the latest software, you can check this on your MacBook by going to the App Store > Updates. Run any needed OSX updates. On your iOS device, go to Settings > General > Software Update. 3. Hold your MacBook or iPad with Bluetooth turned on near Apple TV and it will learn about your network and receive your account settings automatically. 4. Since everything streams wirelessly to Apple TV using your Wi-Fi network, that’s all you need to do. Connecting to your 4th Generation Apple TV Use AirPlay with Apple TV to mirror your MacBook or iPad to stream music, projects, photos and video wirelessly to Apple TV and other AirPlay – enabled devices that are on the same Wi-Fi network as your OS and iOS devises.

Easy Setup: 1. Your OS or iOS device should be connected to the district Wi-Fi Network. The

Apple TV is hard wired in and connected to the Network via Ethernet.

2. Ensure that your device is running the latest software, you can check this on your MacBook by going to the App Store > Updates. Run any needed OSX updates. On your iOS device, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

2. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to access Control Center. To close

Control Center, swipe down, tap the top of the screen or press the home button.

3. Tap Screen Mirroring icon . Find and Tap your Room # to check it, this is the name of your Apple TV.

4. A Passcode may appear on the screen, enter this code on your iOS device. 5. Your iOS device’s screen will be mirrored on your Apple TV. 6. To Exit Mirroring, swipe up from the bottom > tap Screen Mirroring > Tap your

room number to uncheck it. Airplay from MacBook:

1. On your MacBook Home screen, click the AirPlay icon on the top right of your screen, located on the status menu.

2. Find and click your Room # to select it, this is the name of your Apple TV. 3. You may be prompted to enter a passcode on your MacBook. 4. Your OS device’s screen will be mirrored on your Apple TV.

5. To Exit Mirroring, go to AirPlay icon on your status menu > click your Room # to uncheck it.

6. NOTE: If mirroring does not work from your MacBook, go to System Preferences in your dock > Click Displays (looks like a monitor, 2nd row) > Check that AirPlay Display is on your room #, check ‘Show mirroring options’

7. Submit a School Dude Ticket through Help Desk if experiencing Airplay problems.
