I heard someone say: “parents are the biggest obstacles in their childrens’ lives”. I have to say, I was a bit taken aback at this statement, but after thinking about it, I realised that this is very true. Don’t we all, in our daily routine, say to our children: “don’t climb on that, it’s too high, you will fall, don’t run, you might fall!” We need to get BACK TO THE BASICS! On page 7 - Let them play, children are free spirits. The book you need to read; Page 14 – A practical, sensible guide to raising happy, well-adjusted and independent children. Research indicates that children learn best in an environment which allows them to explore, discover, and play. Play is an important part of a developmentally appropriate childcare program. Play is also closely tied to the development of cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical behaviours. Enjoy your children.
