2. Review the workflow steps for the following profiles: – Spot Check

Spot Check

1. Ensure wireless symbol is present in the top right corner.

2. Touch the clinician symbol in the top left corner.

3. Scan the clinician ID from the Clinician tab.

4. Press Ok to confirm.

5. Scan the patient ID from the Home tab.

Notes: • If clinician ID is not being captured, skip steps 2-4. • Clinician ID will appear in the top left of the display as either a full name, abbreviation, ID, or symbol. • Patient ID will appear in the bottom left of the display as either a full name or abbreviation along with the

patient ID number.

6. Acquire desired vital signs (NIBP, SPO2, Pulse Rate, Temp).

7. Touch the HT, WT, PAIN, RR box.

8. Touch a manual parameter box to type in a value using the keypad or select from a dropdown menu.

9. Press OK to confirm entries.

10. After capturing all desired data, remove the SpO2 probe.

11. Press Save to send the vitals to the EMR.

Note: • HT, WT, Pain, RR, and other custom modifiers and manual parameters will

depend upon the facility and device configuration. • Depending upon configurations, pressing Save will send the vitals. • The messages “Save successful” and “Send successful” will appear in the

status bar upon successful sending.

Note: • Depending upon device configuration, the readings will remain in the Review tab for 24 hours. Readings can

be manually deleted from the Review tab by selecting the vitals set and pressing Delete and then OK to confirm. Note: The Review tab holds 400 readings.

• The envelope indicates that the set of vitals was sent successfully. • If a set of vitals did not send successfully, select the set of vitals by placing a check in the adjacent box and

then press Send. Press OK to confirm.

Intervals Monitoring

1. Ensure wireless symbol is present in the top right corner.

2. Touch the clinician symbol in the top left corner.

3. Scan the clinician ID from the Clinician tab.

4. Touch Ok to confirm.

5. Scan the patient ID from the Home tab.

6. Touch the interval icon in the NIBP box.

Note: • Clinician ID (if applicable) and Patient ID will remain on the display when

Intervals are in use. Powering down the device will clear both the Clinician ID and Patient ID following Interval use.

• To manually send a set of vitals in Intervals Monitoring, complete steps 1-5, acquire vital signs (leave pulse ox on for PR and SPO2), and press Save to send.

7. Select Automatic, Program or Stat.

8. Adjust the intervals as desired (see below).

9. Touch Start Intervals.

Automatic • Adjust the minutes by using the

up/down arrows. or • Touch the keypad symbol, enter the

desired value and press Ok. Program • Select a pre-set program from the list. or • Set up a program by selecting an

interval from the dropdown list. Type in a frequency by touching the keypad symbol, enter the desired value and press Ok.

10. Touch the Review tab.

11. Select the vitals you wish to send by touching the box adjacent to the set of vitals.

12. Once vitals are selected with a checkmark, touch Send.

13. Touch Ok to confirm sending the vitals.

Note: • Depending upon device configuration, if the readings were sent successfully an envelope will appear next to

the vitals and remain for 24 hours or the readings will be cleared from the review tab. Note: The review tab holds 400 readings.

Continuous Monitoring

6. Acquire desired vital signs (NIBP & Temp) and/or apply desired continuous monitoring accessories (etCO2 sampling line, pulse-ox, EarlySense® sensor, RRaTM sensor).

7. Touch the HT, WT, PAIN, RR box.

8. Touch manual parameter box to type in a value using the keypad or select from a drop down menu.

9. Press OK to confirm entries.

Note: • There is no Save button in Continuous Monitoring. • The unconfirmed vitals will stream into the EMR automatically. • Vitals will need to be confirmed within the EMR.

6. There is no Save button in Continuous Monitoring. The vitals stream into the EMR automatically.

7. Vitals need to be confirmed within the EMR.

Note: • Review tab enables access to a trend table of all readings for the currently selected patient. • You can configure the time intervals displayed, and you can scroll through the last 24 hours of patient

measurements. • To end monitoring, disconnect accessories from patient, touch the Pause button, touch End Monitoring,

choose New Patient (monitor will stay on and clear all data) or Power Down (monitor will clear data and power off).

Important Points to Remember

• Ensure that the wireless symbol is present on the Home screen before scanning and sending

• Verify that Clinician ID is scanned into the Clinician field

• Verify that Patient ID is scanned into the Patient field
