AudienceView How-To Guide: Creating Website & Search Term Portfolios You can now edit your custom lists directly in the AudienceView tool. Website and search term portfolios allow you to customize your reporting capabilities within AudienceView to ensure you are looking at the most relevant data for your business needs. Analyse key metrics with your most important search terms and benchmark yourself against your top competitors. You can create, edit, and manage as many portfolios as you would like, and they are accessible to all users in your account access. How-To Create a Portfolio: To create a portfolio, follow these easy steps: 1. Click on the “Create” > “Portfolios” tab at the top of the homepage 2. Choose either “Websites” or “Search Terms”. 3. Be sure to name your portfolio at the top-left side of the screen. 4. Once you have named your portfolio, you can begin adding URLs or search terms. This can be done either individually or though the “Upload CSV” feature.

AudienceView How-To Guide:Creating Website & Search Term PortfoliosYou can now edit your custom lists directly in the AudienceView tool.  Website and search term portfolios allow you to customize your reporting capabilities within AudienceView to ensure you are looking at the most relevant data for your business needs.  Analyse key metrics with your most important search terms and benchmark yourself against your top competitors.  You can create, edit, and manage as many portfolios as you would like, and they are accessible to all users in your account access.

How-To Create a Portfolio:To create a portfolio, follow these easy steps:

1. Click on the “Create” > “Portfolios” tab at the top of the homepage2. Choose either “Websites” or “Search Terms”.  3. Be sure to name your portfolio at the top-left side of the screen.

4. Once you have named your portfolio, you can begin adding URLs or search terms.  This can be done either individually or though the “Upload CSV” feature.

5. If you wish to add directly in the tool, type in the website or search term and click Add.  To delete websites or search terms after you have added then, simply select and click the red button on the top-right of the list.

After you have completed and saved your portfolio, you can start running reports based on your newly created custom list.

Website Portfolio:You can query your website portfolio within the profiler report (located directly on the AudienceView homepage), which will provide you with key insights for your competitive set.  Start by entering the name of your website portfolio into the home page and select from the drop-down (will appear with a blue icon next to the name). 

Once the Profiler is loaded, you can analyse four different categories of data including digital performance of the aggregated portfolio, custom competitive landscape, audience profiling, and where to reach your audience via top indexing websites and Mosaic segmentation groups.

You can also use website portfolios to create audience segments, run crosstab reports, and analyse digital behavior.  Within the digital behavior reports, you can segment by

target audience to understand visitation habits among the competitive set and filter results via desktop/mobile device. 

Search Term Portfolio:Search Term portfolios can be used when creating an audience segment to identify who is searching for your top keyword terms and also analyse search trends within a designated time frame. 

To create audience segments from traffic that has searched for any of the terms within your portfolio, simply click “Create a Segment” from the homepage and select your portfolio from the data dictionary.  Once your segment is created, you can run all standard reports within the platform including snapshot, crosstab and digital behavior reports.   

To analyse top search terms in a designated time frame, select “Search Term Portfolio” as your subject type from the digital behavior report. 

Within this report, you can choose to look at the search behavior of the online population or a specific segment as your target audience.  Results can also be filtered via desktop/mobile devices.
