CONNOTATIONS WITHIN

This picture shows us strength, not from the literal working out but from the will

of the person in the picture, working out with a water bottle behind him and

extra clothing/gear he is prepared however this also shows struggle but in

return strength from his will to overcome the struggle.

STENGTH

This picture could show desire however I believe that it shows clear poverty, not because of the

actions of the person in the picture but because of the location. The location is well built and

developed however the individual is scavenging for something in such a solid location showing a

clear contrast.

POVERITY

This image could show friendship however I believe from how close the two

are that the image clearly shows more love than friendship. This is shown

through the close-up shot used as well as the clear look of happiness on their

faces.

LOVE

From this image we can see another contrast from the

location and situation the victim here, showing a clear

case of fear from having a bad over his head and arms

behind his head and not to mention the high angled

shot looking slightly downward towards the victim

showing him in a clear state of weakness however once

again I believe this shows a stronger case for fear. This is

because of the people looking on in the background.

FEAR

This image shows desire because the outstretched hand has something worthless (the cap) in its palm

and yet it is reaching for something much more valuable (the phone) possibly seeking a trade or even a

thiefth of the phone.

DESIRE

I think it is quite obvious that this

Picture shows danger. You can

see that the earth is lifeless and

grey as well as there being broken

glass and random debris.

In addition some dirt is stuck to the

wall in the shot making this setting

quite rundown and lifeless.

DANGER

This shot very literally shows wealth from the person

in the shot taking money out of their wallet and

flashing their expensive watch in the lobby of some

building

WEALTH

This image of a broken

twig is the definition of

weakness, this is shown

by the surrounding dead

grass as well as the

destroyed twig under the

sun. The shot used is

important as the high

angle suggests the twig is

weak.

WEAKNESS

This image shows loneliness from the lone individual walking

away from the shot although he is in a public place the

atmosphere of the location is changed by the picture

alongside him of a crying and melting girl really pushes a

distinct feeling of loneliness and depression.

LONELINESS

Although the other person is

Picture shows true friendship

From the happy expression on

Of the other person it shows a

Nice friendly atmosphere as well

As possibly a converstation.

FRIENDSHIP

This image shows a story of purity, I see this from the campervan as while the vehicle usually

connotes loneliness or solitude I think it is very pure from the colour white and the living style of

the campervan. The living style is very lone wolf and on the road not coming in contact with

Many people and minding your own, from this I see purity as it is their own world one that they

Have control over and are free to travel anywhere with anything.

PURITY

From this many of you will assume that the images sure purity

or in fact healthiness but I see this as greed because there is

Only water in the shot minus another drink but as it isn’t the

Focus I’ll leave it out. The water connotes greed for me

Because of the quantity of the water and the small amount of

Space between them.
