Constitutions are created with some methods that different than basic laws, yet this constitution was established by the assembly using the same methods with basic laws.

It has only 23 articles and only 10 of them were about organization of government.

The Assembly abolished 1876 and 1921 constitutions, it created supremacy of constitutions with its 103. article.

It shows the religion.language,and the capital city of the country.It set the national sovereignty as 1921.

In 1937 the six main principles of the Republican People Party programme republicanism, nationalism, populism, statism, secularism, and reformism took part in constitution as basic qualities of the state.

Republic of Turkey first experienced multiple political parties election in this constitution’s period.

The Constitution Of 1961In 1950, Democrat Party won the

election, after 10 years military coup was made. Republic of Turkey’s prime minister and two of his ministers were executed.

Military government made a new constitution in 1961, according to it National Grand Assembly divided two parts; National Assembly and Republic Senate

The constitution of 1961 has some new articles about president of republic; could be choosen for seven years and only one time.

One of the most important article was about constitutional court. First time in our republic history a court that could supervise the laws whether convenient with constitution or not, was established.

The Constitution Of 198212 September 1980 Military took over

government again and created a new constitution.

1982 constitution set The State Supervisory Council ( Devlet Denetleme Kurumu) and High Education Board (Yüksek Öğretim Kurulu)
