ADDENDUM NO. 1(Construction of a Two-Storey OfficeBuilding for the DBM Procurement Service)

This Addendum No.1 dated May 19, 2010 is issued to clarify, modify or amend items in theBidding Documents. Accordingly, this shall form an integral part of said Documents.

12.1 Unless otherwise indicated in theBDS, the first envelope shallcontain the following eligibility andtechnical documents:

Only a valid PCAB license shall be consideredas compliant with the requirements of thisProject. Thus, an official receipt and/orapplication form is patently insufficient andwill, thus, be considered as "failed".

For item 3.1, the statement of specificcompliance of each drawing must bedone by affixing the signature andinitials of the bidder's authorizedrepresentative in each drawing. Saidsignature and initial signifiescompliance of the bidder to abide bythe specifications in the drawings. Thesame must be submitted together withthe "original" first envelope. Copies ofsaid drawings are not required to besubmitted together with "copy 1" and"copy 2" of the first envelope.

Statement of all ongoing constructioncontracts should include all ongoingconstruction contracts, whether or notsimilar to the Project, within ten (10) yearsfrom the date of submission and receipt ofbids, while Statement of completedconstruction contracts should only consistof all construction contracts similar to theProject, including the Single LargestContract, within ten (10) years from the dateof submission and receipt of bids. The supporting documents for only three (3)completed proiects . which must include theSingle Largest Contract, are notices ofaward or equivalent, notices to proceed, ifapplicable, and CPES rating sheets whichmust have a satisfactory rating orcertificates of satisfactory completion andowner's acceptance of the project, as thecase may be.

Bill of Quantities

In case a bidder has less than three (3)completed projects, supporting documents forone (1) or two (2) completed projects areenough to comply with the requirements of theProject, provided that said completed project/sis or includes the Single Largest Contract.

Attached herewith is the Revised Pages 12, 13and 19 of the Bill of Quantities, whichcontains the following:

1. Item XIX Fence/Guardhouse - plasteringworks for CHB#6 should be included underthis Item.

2. Item XVII Roofing/Insulation (Skylights) -the item "8 sets 2-6mm laminated glass1.0m x 2.0m with qty of 55.22 and unit ofsq.m." refers to roof skylight.

3. Item XXII. Fire Protection Works - theitems for fire protection works include bothnew and revised items and quantity.

It is also clarified that for CHB Layout 100mmthk and CHB Layout 150mm thk under ItemVIII Masonry works, steel reinforcements onsaid items are already included under Item VIReinforcing Steel Bars. Moreover, it shall beunderstood that the size of PPR pipes underItem XXI Plumbing Works refers to. insidediameter and should comply with PN 16.

The bidders, in formulating their bid prices,should take into consideration the items ofworks in the Bill of Quantities, as revised, andthe relevant details and specifications in theDrawings and Building Specifications.

Other matters:

~ Late bids shall not be accepted. The deadline for submission and receipt of bids isMay 26, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.

~ The "No Contact Rule" is strictly observed. Bidders are not allowed to call or talk toany member of the Bids and Awards Committee, its Technical Working Group andSecretariat, and its Architectural and Engineering Consultants effective May 26, 2010right after the opening of bids.
