Why should you attend? All construction sites disturbing more than 1 acre of land need a NPDES permit and trained installers. This training has been developed in partnership with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and meets training requirements. The emphasis is on permit regulations pertaining to laborer activities and proper installation and quality control of various erosion and sediment control devices and turf establishment items. Other topics include an overview of pertinent inspection procedures. (6PDH) Who should attend? This one-day course is designed for those who install erosion and sediment control devices and establish vegetation on construction sites. This class is also appropriate for those inspecting construction sites for assurance of installation quality, owners’ representative personnel, crew supervisor of turf establishment/ seeding contractor, and other construction personnel installing temporary erosion and sediment control devices. Note: Mn/ DOT Standard Specifications require a minimum of one certified individual per project.
