CarpentryA career in carpentry is about more than putting a roof over your head. Carpenters can earn good wages working on a wide variety of projects in the construction industry, either with a company or as independent contractors. From framing houses and installing cabinets to laying floors and finishing exteriors, the carpentry program at Collin College is designed to prepare you to enter the workforce with the knowledge you need to earn the living you deserve.
About Collin College’s Program
Collin College’s Carpentry program is designed to align
with the National Center for Construction Education and
Research’s (NCCER) Level 1 and Level 2 certifications.
The program also provides the opportunity to complete
an Associate of Applied Science degree that is specific
to the construction industry for career advancement.
Associate of Applied ScienceConstruction Technology -
Carpentry (60 credit hours)
Two Level 1 Certificates (24 credit hours each)
Level 2 Certificate (45 credit hours)
