In this presentation, I will identify the names of products and brand names. Then, I will go through each product one by one and explain the image/perceptions connected to the brand/product, what values the product/brand is associated with, any beliefs connected to the product/brand, and what may have influenced me to buy the product.

An image that is connected with my baseball glove is American because baseball is spread from America and American professional baseball players are better than other professional baseball players in other countries.

The marketing strategy that is used to portray Nike shoes is values association and it is associated with friendship because team work is important to play baseball.

The values that are associated with my baseball glove are excellence, active, and community because Mizuno has good baseball products and baseball is a team sport. You’ll need to communicate a lot with your teammates. Baseball is very active because basically, you need to run, catch and hit.

The basic need that is addressed with my baseball glove is freedom because when you are playing baseball you don’t need to think about your homework.

I believe that playing baseball or watching baseball is very fun because baseball is a team sport, there are many kinds of movements such as running, catching, or hitting, and sometimes, you might be impressed from the baseball match.

I bought this product because I liked baseball. I finally bought a baseball glove from Mizuno because I heard from my brother that Mizuno has good baseball products. I also heard that many of good professional players use Mizuno gloves.

Nike Shoes- ImageAn image that is connected with Nike shoes is fast because many of sports players wear Nike shoes. My mom’s friend who was an Olympic player wears Nike shoes.

The marketing strategy that is used to portray Nike shoes is branding because Nike shoes are sold by good sports shops and if you wear them, you don’t look poor.

The basic need that is addressed with my Nike shoes is power because you might be a better runner by wearing good shoes such as Nike shoes.

The values that are associated with Nike shoes are image and action because you are moving when you are wearing Nike shoes and your image might look better by wearing Nike shoes.

I thought new shoes would make me satisfied because my old shoes were too small, but I could buy the shoes that fit.

I bought Nike shoes because I needed something to wear and they fit in very well and I thought I could run better rather than wearing the shoes that don’t fit.

An image that is connected to PC is excellence because you can do almost anything you want by using PC. You can chat with your friends, watch movies, play games, search about what you want to know etc.

The basic needs that are addressed with my PC are Fun and freedom because using computers (face book, Skype, mail, playing games, watching videos) are fun and you can feel free when you are doing something fun on the your computer.

Before I bought a computer, I believed that it would fun if I buy a computer because on a computer, you can do many things (watching movies, listening to music, chatting with your friends, etc.)

I bought PC because everyone has a computer and I needed a computer to do my homework. I also wanted a computer just for fun. I wanted to download the music and listen to them, watch movies, search about something I want to know etc.

An image that is connected to PSP is teenager boys because I see most of teenager boys playing PSP. My most of boy friends had PSP when I was in Japan.

Marketing strategy that is used to portray this product is branding because if you don’t have anything that everyone has (IPod touch, Iphone, PS3 etc.) you are not cool.

The basic need that is addressed with my PSP is Freedom because you don’t need to think about homework when you are listing to music, watching a video, or playing games with PSP.

The values that is associated with this product are joy and friendship because playing games, listening to music, and watching videos are fun and you can play online games with your friends if you and your friend have PSP.

My beliefs that are connected with PSP are if you play games or watch videos with PSP a lot your eyes will lose your eyesight and it affects you in bad ways. For example, you will have a short attention span. It is determined by electroencephalography.

I bought PSP because most of my friends had PSP when I was in Japan and I lost my IPod and wanted to listen to music or watch movies. I also wanted to play games.

Dictionary- ImageAn image that is connected with dictionary is language learner because you need dictionaries to know what the meanings of words.

The marketing strategy that is used to portray is values association and it is associating with knowledge because my dictionary knows so much of vocabulary.

Dictionary- ValuesThe values that are associated are learning and wealth because you are learning the meanings of words by using dictionaries and dictionaries are so expensive.

The basic need that is addressed with this product is power because for me dictionary is important to live.

My personal beliefs that is connected with my dictionary is that it is helping me to learn because when I don’t understand the meanings of the words, I can use it to know its meaning.

My dad bought me an expensive dictionary because I needed something to translate the meanings of English words into Japanese and good dictionaries are better to learn English word.
