Basic Qualification:

Any of the following categories of sportspersons may apply for employment against the category of Meritorious Sportspersons under WBSEDCL:

a. Sportspersons who have represented West Bengal or India in a National or International Competition in the discipline of Cricket / Football/Athletics/Badminton/Tennis/ Table Tennis/ Wrestling mentioned above

b. Sportspersons who have represented a University in an Inter-University Tournament conducted by the Inter- University Sports Board in discipline of Cricket / Football/ Athletics/Badminton/Tennis/ Table Tennis/ Wrestling.

c. Sportspersons who have represented the State school teams in the National Sports/ Games for Schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in discipline of Cricket / Football/ Athletics/Badminton/Tennis/ Table Tennis/ Wrestling.

d. Meritorious Sportspersons who have represented and excelled in national level competition organized by All India Electricity Sports Control Board in discipline of Cricket / Football/ Athletics/Badminton/Tennis/ Table Tennis/ Wrestling will be given preference.

Age Limit:

Minimum and maximum age shall be 18 and 27 years respectively as on 01.01.2015 with upper age relaxation for SC / ST and OBC candidates of West Bengal for 5 years and 3 years respectively. The players who have represented and excelled in National Level Competition(s) in the discipline of Cricket/Football/ Athletics/Badminton/Tennis/ Table Tennis/ Wrestling organized by All India Electricity Sports Control Board shall be given upper age relaxation up to 5 years. Candidates in the category of SC, ST and OBC from State other than West Bengal will be treated as Unreserved candidates.

Mode of Recruitment:

A. The selection of candidates will be done by the Special Selection Committee through FIELD LEVEL TRIALS and INTERVIEW.

B. The candidates declared fit and suitable as per decision of the Special Selection Committee in FIELD LEVEL TRIALS shall only be considered for INTERVIEW stage.

on completion of their training.

Note: The players who have represented and excelled in national level competition organized by All India

Electricity Sports Control Board having graduation degree shall be considered for employment in the first level Class-III post against vacancy of Office Executive.

Players having qualification less than graduation shall be considered for employment in the first level Class-IV posts against vacancy of Technical Support Hand as per suitability and fulfillment of other requirement.

Players of any discipline having outstanding achievement and having professional qualification matching to the Recruitment Policy of the Company shall be considered for recruitment in befitting posts under higher category(s) of the Company.

The players who have represented and excelled in national level competitions(s) organized by All India Electricity Sports Control Board shall be given upper age relaxation upto 5 years.

Other Facilities :

In addition to Basic Pay and Grade Pay, the posts also carries DA, HRA, Medical Allowance, Electricity Allowance, Hill Compensatory Allowance, Project Allowance (depending on the place of posting), LTC / HTC, CPF, Gratuity, benefits for indoor treatment in leading hospitals for Self & Dependents, Leave Encashment and other facilities as per the Rules of the Company.

Other Conditions :

Selected candidates may be appointed against available vacancies provisionally on Probation for a period of one year with regular scale of pay [Band Pay and Grade Pay] Period of Probation may be extended as per rules of the Company depending upon satisfactory performance of the candidates during probation period. Their appointment shall be entirely provisional and their confirmation as regular employee would be subject to subsequent receipt of satisfactory Police Verification Report, Caste Certificate and other testimonials Verification Report. They must also qualify in the Pre-employment Medical Examination as per prescribed rules of the Company. Decision of the management for absorption under the Company is final and binding. Selected candidates are liable to be posted in any Offices/ Units/ 33/11 KV Sub-Stations/ Hydel Power Stations of the Company located at different parts of West Bengal. On successful completion of probation, they may be confirmed under the Company. Processing & Examination Fees :

The candidates are required to send one Non-refundable Demand Draft of ₹ 300/- (Three Hundred) only as Processing and Examination fees along with their application form. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes of the State of West Bengal are exempted from payment of processing fees. However Candidates belonging to OBC category are not exempted from paying any fees.

The Demand Draft once paid shall not be refundable/ transferable under any circumstances and should be drawn in favor of "West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd." payable at Kolkata only. Demand drafts payable at locations other than Kolkata will not be accepted. Demand Draft issued before the date of publication of this Notification will not be accepted. Money Order / Postal Order or any other mode of payment is not acceptable. While attaching the demand draft the candidate should mention his name, date of birth and contact number at the back of the demand draft. Candidates should take special care not to staple the Demand Daft. They should use pins for fastening all documents / demand drafts.

The candidate must fill up the application form as per the guidelines. Information related to important data

requires to be filled carefully .The candidate should check the same and proceed accordingly to avoid
