FEES AND CHARGES
WHAT FEES DO ARTISTS PAY? Artists programmed in these spaces will be charged a straight venue fee plus $4 of every ticket sold. The venue fees vary, depending on the day & space required. See the Venue Schedule & Fees section for the fee of each space.
WHAT FEES DO CUSTOMERS PAY? Customer Booking Fee Tickets sold through The Sit Down Comedy Club are subject to a patron booking fee of $3 per ticket sold. This fee is payable by the patron at the point of sale. Please Note: The Patron Booking Fee is passed on to the patron and NOT incurred by the artist. It is separate from the SDCC fee of $4 of every ticket sold.
PRICING YOUR TICKETS When pricing your tickets and working out your breakeven and projected NET profit, please take into consideration the associated charges and fees that may be incurred. Below is a table that gives examples of the basic ticket sales required to break even on the venue hire.

EXCLUSIVE TICKET AGENT The Sit Down Comedy Club is the exclusive ticket agent for all shows and performances as part of The Sit Down Comedy Fringe Festival.
PRICE CATEGORIES The Sit Down Comedy Club has set the ticket categories that you can utilise for your shows. Please note that your event does not need to include all price categories. ADULT A standard ticket price category that should be applied to all sessions except previews. CONCESSION Priced lower than a standard adult ticket, and applicable for holders of concession cards (pensioner, senior, student, unemployed). GROUPS 10+ A discount for groups booking more than 10 tickets, set lower than an adult ticket price. Tickets must be purchased in one transaction for discount to apply. ALL If you are only charging one price for all tickets. It should be the only price.
SALES AND DOOR LISTS When ticketing goes live, Artists will have access to sales reports and door lists by contacting the Sit Down Comedy Club Office.
SETTLEMENT The Sit Down Comedy Club utilises the services of Seat Adviser Box Office (SABO) to manage ticket sales. SABO commit to settle to The Sit Down Comedy Club within two weeks of each event conclusion. Settlement is contingent upon receipt of funds from SABO. Settlement of your ticket sales should be completed within four (4) weeks of your last session/performance, provided that all required documents and information have been provided. This includes:
• A valid and active ABN or a Statement by a Supplier (this should be provided during the Registration process)
• A valid invoice issued by you to The Sit Down Comedy Club, which should include the following:
1. If you are registered for GST, a statement that this is a Tax Invoice. “Tax Invoice” at the top of the page is sufficient
2. If the tax invoice is greater than $1,000, you must include the identity of the buyer. e.g. Invoice issued to The Sit Down Comedy Productions Pty Ltd or include our ABN (30 110 218 187)
3. Date the invoice was issued
4. A brief description of the services
5. Total amount due and the GST on the total amount
6. Supplier Name and ABN
7. Bank Account and BSB
MARKETING
WHAT MARKETING MATERIAL IS REQUIRED FOR THE FESTIVAL? Artists will receive a Marketing Kit on confirmation of their inclusion in the 2019 festival.

TERMS & CONDITIONS Alcohol Due to licensing regulations, NO alcohol may be brought onto licensed premises. ALL alcohol must be purchased through The Paddo Tavern. Audio Visual The use of the following sound and production equipment is included in the registration fee:
Venue Equipment
Main Room Full production incl. Four (4) microphone inputs; microphones; and all sound and lighting.
Sync Room Full production incl. Four Channel PA System; SM58 Microphone & basic lighting rig.
If available, additional equipment (such as a projector & screen) can be hired from The Sit Down Comedy Club. If The Sit Down Comedy Club is required to externally hire any additional equipment, the hire fees will be charged back to the Artist in full. More information is available from The Sit Down Comedy Club. Cleaning The cost of general cleaning is included in the registration fee. The Artist will be responsible for any additional cleaning required over and above regular cleaning, e.g., carpet stains and/or damage that results as a part of a performance. Damages The Artist will be responsible for any breakage, damage, theft or vandalism to the Paddo Tavern venue or the property of The Paddo Tavern and/or Sit Down Comedy Club during, or associated with, the event. Damage must be reported to The Sit Down Comedy Club immediately upon discovery, or as soon as practicable thereafter. Display All signage and materials intended for display in public areas of The Sit Down Comedy Club must be approved by The Sit Down Comedy Club prior to their use. The Artist may display materials within the venue, providing the display material is not of a lewd or illegal nature. Insurance The Sit Down Comedy Club recommends Artists take out Public Liability Insurance. This coverage protects the Artist financially in the event that an audience member is injured; or third-party property is damaged. PLEASE NOTE: Public Liability does not cover injury to performers or their property. These are at the Artist’s discretion to address and could include additional insurance being taken for contents, injury or worker’s compensation depending on the Artist’s circumstances. Merchandise Artists are able to sell merchandise. The Sit Down Comedy Club will provide a space for the setup and distribution of these items. An additional staffing fee applies if The Sit Down Comedy Club is required to supply a sales assistant to accompany the Artist. Staffing & Security The registration fee includes Box Office/Front of House staff, Food and Beverage staff & Venue Security staff for the duration of the event. Storage No storage is available without prior arrangement. All equipment, externally hired goods, props and personal items must be removed from the venue at the close of the event unless temporary storage is agreed in advance with The Sit Down Comedy Club.
