    Introduction

    This article assumes that the reader has some knowledge on the content model concept and how tocreate/copy content model classes.

    The article focuses on the content model for records management and its usage to enhance attributes.

    Content Model:A content model is a definition for documents with a common structure.

    In general content models describe the manner in which documents of a certain type are stored, which

    Attributes are maintained for the documents and what relationship the documents have with each other.

    Content models are maintained in the document modeling workbench (transaction DMWB).

    More Information can be obtained for content models in Reference Document section of this article.

    Overview of Content Model for Records Management

    While configuring records management, additional attributes for Documents & records can be configuredusing the content model.

    Assignment of Element type to Content Model:

    Content models are linked to the records management using the Registry using the parameterDOCUMENT_CLASS of element type for records.
