My content marketing definition is: The strategic ability to create targeted, demographic information which is shared through syndication, capturing an audience's attention, encouraging them to take some type of action, while enhancing the possibility of generating new business clients. Now, let us take my definition and apply it to a real life example. I created some content about a subject which you had interest in learning. I developed a headline which attracted your attention. The content was shared on a highly visible platform (Slideshare.net), and was viewed by a targeted audience. This is a simple content strategy that could develop further! Before you can develop a content marketing plan, you need to understand what is a content marketing strategy.
