Oxidative cross-coupling of vinylsilanes inwater
The first investigation of palladium-catalyzed oxidative cross-coupling reactionof vinylsilanes bearing substituents withcomplementary electronic effects is repor-ted. Besides being the first example on oxi-dative cross-couplingof vinylic organosiliconreagents, the protocol is a convenient accessto pushepull butadienes.

Synthesis of rhodium complexes derivedfrom benzimidazolin-2-ylidene ligands andfirst used for the addition of arylboron tobenzonitriles
Benzimidazolium salts and their new rho-dium complexes ([Rh(COD)(NHC)Cl]) weresynthesized and characterized. The additionof sodium tetraphenylborate to nitriles inthe presence of a catalytic amount of a rho-dium NHC complexes was examined. Cor-responding carbonyl compounds wereobtained in good yields.

Synthesis of novel palladium allyl complexesbearing heteroditopic NHCeS ligands. Ki-netic study on the carbene exchange be-tween bis-carbene palladium allyl complexes
Novel palladium allyl complexes withNHCeS ligands were synthesized. Prepara-tion of mixed bis-carbene complexes bear-ing two different carbenes simultaneouslycoordinated to the palladium center yieldthe formation of an equilibrium mixture ofthe two homoleptic and the mixed bis-carbene species. The reaction rates weremeasured and a mechanistic hypothesisadvanced.

Two substrates, three products: Reactionsbetween ferrocene-carboxaldehyde anddioxaphospholene, characterization andcrystal structures of oxygenated C3- andC4-chain-containing ferrocenes
Depending on the experimental conditionsused, the reaction between biacetyl trime-thylphosphite adduct and ferrocenecarbox-aldehyde gives rise to either 1-ferrocenyl-1,2-propanedione, or 4-methoxy-4-ferrocenyl-3-hydroxy-3-methyl-2-butanone (illustrated)as a single diastereoisomer, or 1-(3-oxo-2-methylbut-1-enyl)ferrocene; this behaviorcould originate from a common charge sep-arated state with a carbonium ion stabilizedby the ferrocene unit.

Syntheses and properties of cyclosilazanesand cyclocarbosilazanes
The review evaluates known syntheticmethods of cyclo(carbo)silazanes and sum-marises important physico-chemical prop-erties. It is compiled as a guide for thetargeted preparation of various classes ofrespective compounds. The review also in-cludes useful transformations of N-unsub-stituted cyclic derivatives and data onhydrolytic stability of cyclo(carbo)silazanes.

Synthesis and structural diversity of lan-thanide amidate complexes and their cata-lytic activities for the ring-openingpolymerization of rac-lactide
Both anionic and neutral lanthanide com-plexes stabilized by amidate ligand can beprepared through protonolysis reactions. Inthe neutral lanthanide amidate complexes,an unprecedented NeHeN bond betweentwo of the amidate ligands is formed, mak-ing it the most notable difference fromnormal neutral analogs.

The CeH activation of pendant naphthylgroup of 1-alkyl-2-(naphthyl-a-azo)imida-zole by rhodium(III). Spectral, structuralcharacterization and, DFT computation
Rh(III) complexes of 1-alkyl-2-(naphthyl-a-azo)imidazole (a-NaiR) present in coordi-nation and cyclometallation states. Thestructures are described by spectroscopic(IR, UVeVis, NMR, Mass) and single crystalX-ray diffraction studies. Density functionaltheory calculation has also been performedto rationalize the electronic structures andtheir spectral properties.

Synthesis, characterization and antibacterialstudies of ferrocenyl and cymantrenylhydrazone compounds
Cymantrenyl and ferrocenyl Schiff baseorganometallic compounds have been syn-thesized by the reaction between respectiveacetylated organometallic fragments andhydrazide compounds. Compounds 4, 5, 8and 9 have been structurally characterizedby single crystal X-ray diffraction studies.Antibacterial studies and electrochemicalanalysis were performed for some of theferrocenyl and cymantrenyl compounds.
