MODEL N HIGH TECH Business and Project Track
HT100 High Tech Core Fundamentals Course Description: the course provides an understanding of Model N High Tech key functionality that is used
across the application. The course reviews the Model N High Tech core platform topics, including how data security is applied within the Model N High Tech application. Participants learn creation and administration of users, accounts, channel partners, and contacts. Participants also learn how to create and maintain the product catalog, including creation and use of Root Parts and their related functionality. Attendees will work with Model N High Tech notification rules and alerts, including using date-based and escalation alerts, as well as publishing alerts. Participants learn firsthand how to utilize the Model N High Tech personalization options including creating and using saved searches and their own column layout on summary pages.
Users attending this course will learn about the analytic functions available within Model N High Tech, including using existing reports, developing new reports using the Reports Developer’s Kit, creating, using, and publishing dashboards and charts, and effective use of the business analysis function. It briefly reviews the configuration and integration options.

HT101 High Tech Business Process Implementation Course Description: This course provides participants with the knowledge of how the provided functionality of
Model N High Tech behaves, with a goal of faster and smoother implementation due to better product understandingStudents learn how to create opportunities and registrations, continuing to enter key data, and how to migrate these records into valid quotes, and from quotes onto orders or debits. Participants learn the logic of the Model N High Tech pricing engine. The course addresses how to create and maintain pricing rules, conversion rules, and multiple price books. Students learn how the pricing engine integrates with both OEM and MPP contracts (including step-pricing contracts). Attendees will learn the functionality and logic of advanced contracts and compliance.

administration, and management teams, this course is designed to provide a basic understanding of Model N’s Commercial Application suite. LS201 Life Sciences Strategy Designer Workshop Course Description: This workshop-style course is for anyone who wants to use the Model N Strategy Designer to
make changes to or even completely customize the logic that defines how institutional or managed care rebates are calculated. After completing this course, students will be able to use Filters to precisely define custom transaction sets to use in a calculation, create and modify Formulas to define the calculation logic, use Structure objects to define custom contract attributes required in Formulas and expose those attributes in the contract, use the Dry Run feature to debug and troubleshoot the logic in Formulas, and use the Tracker feature to import and use custom external data in Formulas. Students will learn how to use these technologies to define logic Components for both Tier Basis calculations and Benefit calculations for rebate programs.
