1. Lay an A3 sheet of paper landscape orientation, and fold it horizontally to create two equal ‘halves’.
2. Cut along the fold.
3. Concertina each piece of paper so that you have four ‘zig-zagging’ sections.
4. Children use line guides as they write on each page of their book.
5. If necessary, two or more concertinas can be joined together to extend writing space.
