In order to get this project accomplished, I went down a road in the outskirts of Rexburg Idaho.
There I found a lot of interesting sights, but the most interesting was this group of mailboxes off the side of the road. This seemed like the perfect spot to get some really interesting shots.
After taking each of these photos, I touched up the four best ones with photo shop. This is what came out of it.

PhotographyThis is all a part of my very first time working with por-trait photography. It was difficult at first to get the right exposure, but once I got it down, it became one of my favorite photography mediums.
As you can see, I mostly worked with one model, but I also got some help from my roommates and my classmates. It was really fun to work with and position each model in the pose I wanted them in.
Using props, such as the guitar and the mandolin also helped to create a great looking portrait.

LevitationFor this project, I picked my model at
random and went into an abandoned house at Bannack Montana. I dressed her up in
Harry Potter gear and told her to pretend she was casting a spell.
I then took a picture of the background so I could add in the effects on top. I then took several pictures of all of the books as they
were being held up by my friends.
Once all of them were shot, I took all of my images and put them through Photoshop.
This was the result.

Each portrait that you see here was taken at the Bannack Ghost town in Montana. Each Model was a joy to work with and using various different techniques, we were able to get a whole bunch of very interesting shots. My favorite technique to use is using natural lighting. I used this a lot on the cowboy with the white hat on. The light coming from the window provided just enough light to show some very interesting features on the model’s face.
BannackPortraits
I loved working with each of these great people. They were so willing to do anything that we asked them to do, and it made the project that much easier to accomplish. Each costume they had picked out was great, and it made it seem like we were capturing shots for a western movie poster.
