Contents page analysis.

Page 2: Contents page research

This contents page is very crowded with a lot of information and quite a large image. I don’t think this is a very good idea as It can look over crowded.

The font is very small and isnt that clear, which could be bad.

The main article on the contents page is very clearly set out with a large image.

The colours used are normal to this magazine but it makes it look quite boring and not very interesting.

This is a contents page for a rock music magazine Kerrang! It's spilt into 3 different columns. The layout is following the theme of the magazine as it follows the same colours as the front cover did. The bright colours such as yellow suggest it is for a younger male audience. The capital letters also suggest that it's targetted towards the male audience. The images used on this page falls into the convention of the genre of the magazine. Not everything is neat and tidy it's sort of jagged which falls into the whole Punk Rock genre.

By the text and images of this magazine you can tell it’s a music magazine and the targeted audience would be for 17-26 year olds there’s a lot going on in this contents page which normally attracts younger people because its more fun seems lively and is packed with loads of things inside to offer,Most of the text is little and in black which don’t really stand out but the colours behind the text catches people’s eyes and then there are some big writing in different colours and I think that’s used to draw people in because that’s the first thing you notice.
