Our Common Future based on our Common Cultural Heritage - the Vikings and the Normans,(VINO), is an Erasmus KA2 project prepared by Auraskolen and Istituto Comprensivo Statale“Viovanni Verga”. Both schools are aware of teaching and preparing our students for an unknownfuture on an international job market. We apply for this Erasmus KA2 project – VINO – because we,Denmark and Italy, want our students to strengthen their academic level, and improve theirintercultural and 21st century skills; communication (in English), collaboration (cross-border),creativity (the various tasks they have to solve), critical thinking (the facts and information they areintroduced to).

By working with the VINO-project, the focus will be on our students becoming aware and consciousof their common cultural heritage through the activities they will meet and become active participantsin. The awareness of their common cultural heritage will be their base for the activities which willscaffold their intercultural skills and prepare them for their common future as European citizens. Thus, our students will become conscious of the past and the current communities in Europa andaware of the changes in life, which have formed our present.

The target group of the VINO-project is our 50 students from Denmark and Italy, aged 12-14 yearsold. The objectives are for the students to become aware and conscious of their common culturalheritage working with activities concerning the Vikings and the Normans, to become familiar withtheir European citizenship, to develop oral and written English skills, to teach and learn in aninternational context in order to prepare the students for an international job market. The activities will be both outdoor learning (for example in connection with visits to sights) andclassroom teaching. Here the students will be presented to analogue and digital materials includingsome of the EU produced learning materials (role-play about common European issues). Ourcommon platform for communication and collaboration will be the TwinSpace, which we create.

Considering technology comprehension (in a humanistic and science perspective) will be included inorder to make the learning and teaching about the Vikings and the Normans present andcontemporary. Presenting and preparing the different activities will be done by using cooperativelearning structures, flipped learning and inquiry based learning.

Meeting other European students face-to-face, staying at each other’s homes during the mobilitieswill boost their self-confidence, vitality, make them prepared, engaged and motivated for furthereducation and strengthen their personal skills and ability to create relationships. This will also provideour students with an opportunity to discover similarities and differences in our common culturalheritage now and then.

Auraskolen is situated in Esbjerg Kommune, which is Denmark’s fifth-largest municipality. You willfind Esbjerg with its 115.000 inhabitants on the west coast of Denmark. We are neighbours tospectacular nature, cultural heritage; The Wadden Sea National park and Ribe (Dennmark’s oldesttown). Auraskolen is a municipal primary and lower secondary school and has three departmentschools; Hjerting with 820 pupils (staff 60), Bryndum with 495 pupils (staff 42) and Sønderris with640 pupils (staff 55). We teach pre-school classes (age 5) up till secondary school (age 15).Auraskolen acknowledges the necessity of looking out to Europe for new knowledge, competences, inspiration and tools in order to improve the teaching and learning in a fast moving and globalisedworld. Thus, teachers teach according to the latest Danish curriculum and the common objectivespassed by the Danish Ministry of Education. Both the curriculum and the objectives are inspiredthoroughly by research, scientific work and experience from abroad. Hence, Auraskolen appreciatesthe possibilities, which Erasmus+ provides. We are very interested in working in a European contextwith topics relevant for our students and their future on an international job market. Auraskolen looksfor further competences in teaching (sharing knowledge with our partners) and for our students to getthe opportunity to meet and work cross-border with issues supporting their interculturalcompetences. On top of this Auraskolen’s motivation towards this KA2 project is for both teachersand students to get more, international contacts and use their foreign language (English), and thusbecome aware of their European citizenship. Auraskolen has an international coordinator (LK) who isalso an eTwinning ambassador. On March 15th 2019 Auraskolen has become an eTwinning School. The coordinator is experienced with Erasmus projects. The actual key persons of this project will bethe 2 headteachers (Rikke B and Louise C). They will work closely with their Sicilian partners andalso with the international coordinator. Auraskolen’s headmaster (KN) is in charge of all internationalschool work and will also been involved in the actual dissemination this KA2 VINO project.Auraskolen has previously been involved in both Erasmus KA1 and KA2 projects but wants to extendour international network in order to provide the pupils with skills for their future on an unknowninternational job market. The school also has an advertisement on School Education Gateway wherewe invite people to come for job shadowing or as guest teachers; to share knowledge and to bringthe international dimension straight into each classroom. Auraskolen – both teachers, pupils and theinternational coordinator - looks forward to working with our Sicilian partner in order to create furtherawareness and knowledge about common cultural heritage; VINO.

Recently, our school has received important acknowledgments from the ministry and the university for its workon the issues of legality and the environment and for innovation in digital teaching. In relation to thisproject, we have history and art teachers, who are eager to share Sicily’s cultural heritage; three ITCexpert teachers, who are able to use all the instruments of modern technology, facilitating therealization of multimedia products and virtual meetings among students; two English teachers, whocan promote communication among different languages and cultures. Our students and teachers areinvolved in many ICT projects and activities. We are already working on flipped classroom method, cooperative learning, peering and we're working with web 2.0 tools to create digital storytelling, too.We are very motivated in joining this project: we think that it will be a great opportunity for ourstudents to become aware of their cultural roots as well as to increase their awareness of a Europeancitizenship. Sicily has got one of the richest cultural heritage in the world, thanks to its ancient history.Centuries of dominations by many different populations have left clear tracks in our wonderfulmonuments, language and traditions. In particular Sicily and Denmark have something in commondue to the Viking/Norman invasions. These past historical events will give our students a validexample of the enrichment and integration between Northern and Southern Europe; they will be ableto better understand today’s phenomenon of migrations, which is still actual in all Europe butespecially in Sicily, as it is a crucial point in the Mediterranean. They will also realize the importanceof integration as a means of cultural growing and as a resource for the whole Europe. Interactingamong cultures is the only way of overcoming prejudices. The key people in charge of running theproject will be Mrs Agata Patrizia Nicolini, the school headmistress and coordinator of the project andthe two English teachers Arianna Muccio and Paola Battiato.

Please describe the motivation for your project and explain why it should be funded.

We look for Erasmus KA2 funding of our VINO-project because we want our students to meet face-to-face, experience genuine conversations in English, develop their intercultural skills, research andexperience their cultural heritage (focusing on the Vikings and the Normans) and also because wewould like the opportunity to work in an international context.

We apply for this Erasmus KA2 project in order to:• make our students aware of their common cultural heritage• prepare our students for their future on an international job market by making them aware of theirEuropean citizenship• develop our students' communication skills in English; both oral and written• teach our students in an international context and thus prepare them for and make themcomfortable with changes as a part of life

Looking for work can no longer be limited to the area you currently live in. The job market hasexpanded due to globalisation and the development of IT. Today, careers seem to be much short-term than before as the skills required are constantly changing. Our schools (Denmark / Italy) teachand support our students for their future. We want them to get a solid basis so they can attend furthereducation and all become active and conscious participants on an international job market. We wantto boost our students’ confidence in their professional skills and make them realize that change is apart of life and nothing to be afraid of. Thus, we also want to provide them with skills so that theybecome aware of their European citizenship.

Considering an international job market; how will our students fit in, if they are to move to another partof Europa? Will they be accepted as migrants and will our common cultural heritage be muchdifferent from the new country? Our ancestors did it centuries ago when they went from Vikings toNormans but will it work today? And how will it affect our students that we have a common culturalheritage? The Vikings and the Normans traded, exchanged ideas and skills, travelled and createdrelations and our common cultural heritage, which we want our students to become familiar with, read and study but also to actually meet during exchanges and collaboration. This project willdevelop our students' awareness of common cultural heritage upon which to scaffold theirintercultural skills; the students' common future based on their common cultural heritage.

Almost everything we do or use is in some way connected to English (a foreign language) sotherefore we should not only teach basic skills like language, math and science but also prepare ourstsudents for at cross-cultural world outside the class room.We are part of Europe and within the last years our curriculums have been amended due toinspiration from research from abroad. We want to be open to the world and to teach and show ourstudents the importance of being part of an international community (the EU) and thus their Europeancitizenship.

Have you used or do you plan to use eTwinning, School Education Gateway or the Erasmus+ ProjectResults Platform for preparation, implementation or follow-up of your project? If yes, please describehow.

We plan to use a TwinSpace (eTwinning) as the platform for communication and collaboration. Ourstudents will collaborate and communicate online before, during and after the exchanges duringwhich they will be able to meet face-to-face.

When our project - VINO - has been accepted we will apply for a TwinSpace. Both Italy and Denmarkwill introduce eTwinning to our students and our colleagues. In connection with the introduction wewill also talk to our students about IT-ethics. The local Danish eTwinning ambassador hasrecommended the website: dubestemmer.no (Norwegian but with English subtitles). This will addanother European dimension to our project. Here we will use some of the films as a base for a classroom discussion about IT-ethics.

Our students and our colleagues will write/edit their profile and add a photo. This will be their intro toa presenting themselves. we expect, that the local eTwinning ambassador (in Italy / in Denmark) willhelp with the introduction and the hands-on course. On the TwinSpace we will arrange pages for each activity, bearing in mind that this might changeduring our project and we will have to add further pages. The students will be working in cross-border groups. The groups will each have a page, an imagealbum and folders for videos and files. We also plan that we, the teachers, can use the TwinSpace for emails and online meetings. Thechatroom is also considered to be an easy way to contact each other if we have quick questions.

Each school has a homepage. Here the link to our TwinSpace will be added, so that both local andnational communities can follow our project and its progress. We, Italy and Denmark, considereTwinning a great tool in order to improve the students' 21st century skills; communication (onlineand in English), collaboration (with regards to "our common cultural heritage"), critical thinking(information received digitally) and creativity (TwinSpace material, solving tasks).

If your project proposal is building on previous or ongoing eTwinning project(s), please explain howyou plan to achieve this. Please clearly identify the relevant eTwinning project(s) by including theproject title and project ID. In addition to the information provided here, do not forget to providefurther information about the eTwinning aspect of your proposal in all other relevant parts of theapplication form.

Our project proposal is not building on previous or ongoing eTwinning project (s) but is entirelyinitiated and prepared by ourselves through communication and collaboration working out andpreparing this VINO application.

Please keep in mind that experts will evaluate your application exclusively on the basis of theinformation provided in the application form. Therefore, when answering this question make sure todescribe the eTwinning project(s) you plan to build on. Likewise, please be aware that independentlyof the experts' evaluation of the quality of your application, the National Agency may verify theprovided information about your eTwinning project(s). In case the information is not correct, yourapplication may be disqualified.

Please explain if and how you plan to create opportunities for the school(s) having the eTwinningschool label to share best practices in eTwinning and to provide mentorship to other participatingschools that are less experienced in using eTwinning.

Auraskolen and Istituto Comprensivo Statale "Giovanni Verga" both have experience with eTwinningprojects. Each school has received an eTwinning label; projects with different partners. In connection with our VINO-project we want to work with our Erasmus-project online via eTwinning. This will give the students the opportunity to both online and Face-to-Face meetings. We will applyfor/create a VINO-TwinSpace. On TwinSpace both teachers and students will add their results ofgiven tasks in this project and also communicate online. Our TwinSpace will provide us with a good opportunity to apply for an eTwinning label for thisparticular project. We will also share the TwinSpace and thus be able to inspire other teachers andschool-teams to use a TwinSpace in connection with Erasmus projects, get further into eTwinning, work online with cross-borders projects and involve and include all students.Sharing knowledge and hands-on-information will be provided during staff-meetings and networ-meeting in the local and national communities (Italy / Denmark).

Please briefly describe who will take part in the project, including:

● Who are the different groups that will take part in the project activities (e.g. pupils, teachers, other school staff, parents, etc.)? Please also include information on local participants (thosewho will participate in project activities, but will not travel as part of the project).

● How are these groups going to participate?

● If pupils are involved in the project, please specify their age groups.

Note that specific details on selection of participants in Learning, teaching and training activities donot need to be repeated here if they are described in the dedicated section of the form: LearningTeaching Training

Istituto Comprensivo Statale "Giovanni Verga" and Auraskolen will take part in this project. Our maintopic is our common cultural heritage focusing on the Vikings and the Normans. Both teachers at theschool, students from 4 classes at secondary level and the headmaster/headmistress will be part ofthis project. As the students will be staying with host families during the mobilities, parents at bothschools will indirectly be involved in the project.

When the Italian and the Danish students visit each other they will have a specific task; to introducetheir country, their city, their language, their traditions (food, drinks, music), their school - and an itemor an issue which concerns our common cultural heritage (could be a word, a sight, a gesture). Theintroduction will be aimed at the other students and presented in the various classes or atassemplies. The host teachers will provide a schedule for this in order to involve and inform as manystudents as possible. The staff at Istituto Comprensivo Statale "Giovanni Verga" and Auraskolen (Hjerting) will be involvedand take part in this project; not travelling but being engaged in the visits from our partners. First ofall the headteachers and teacher supporting the classes. Furthermore we will to make sure that ourcolleagues know about the project and invite our guest-teachers and guest-students to join theirclasses and other school activities.

In connection with mobilities we expect to involve 25 Italian students and 25 Danish students in ourproject. The participants are age 12-14 years old when the VINO-project starts in September 2019.We expect that our students will improve and strengthen their knowledge of English when they haveto interact with each other - both orally and written. This will strengthen their English skills. The students at the Danish and the Italian schools are learning English as a foreign language alreadyfrom the age of 7, but rarely do they use it in practice before they leave school to study abroad. Someof our students never have face-to-face conversations or use English as a tool for communicate tohave genuine conversations. Thus they never get the opportunity to explore the cultural differences orsimilarities which our two countries contain.

The teachers in English will play a bit role in this project. The eTwinning ambassador inItaly/Denmark will also help with introduction to eTwinning.Thelocal tourist information center will help with materials about towns and regions. Localorganizations can help to organize workshops for participants and local journalists who can observeparticipants during the mobility. This will help us in our research about the Danish and Italiancommon cultural and heritage.

Please describe the tasks and responsibilities of each partner school. Explain how you will ensuresound management of the project and good cooperation and communication between partnersduring project implementation.

We have agreed to communicate via this VINO-project's future TwinSpace. Here we also make sure, that we keep our activity plan, schedule and can track previous emails. The contact persons from Denmark and Italy will be in contact every second Monday (email, chat, online meeting (Skype). Some meetings will be short and others long, but this will make us able to beahead of things and also to prevent misunderstandings, which might occur. All teachers involved inthis project will be in contact every two months - also on a Monday, which we will all schedule, whenour project has been accepted.During this 2-years-project it might be necessary to talk or write each other more often, which we willorganize, as we go along; this also in connection with special school days / bank holidays.Ahead of mobilities we expect that we will be in contact with other more often than every Monday. The project’s TwinSpace will make it easy - during a school day - to chat and to send quick emailswhen we are online and working cross-border with our students. Our students will be in contact with each other via TwinSpace; first of all when they have to introducethemselves. We will divide them into cross-border groups (4-5 students each group) when they haveto solve tasks. After school hours we expect that they will easily and quickly find each other on socialmedia and keep in contact this way. We are fully aware that social media play a play role for ourstudents and consider it positive, when they stay in touch this way “after work” (school hours).During working out this application we, the 2 contact persons and the teachers involved, have beenin contact with each other on a regular basis through Skype and email. We have arranged to meet, write each other and keep deadlines and this has worked out perfectly. When our VINO-project starts we and the head-teachers will meet face-to-face and agree on andwork out practical arrangements and fixed agreements in connection with mobilities (for example howlong school hours, how many activities outside the school, who pays what). As Denmark is quiteexperienced with Erasmus KA2 project they will share knowledge and experience (including what toprevent and what to avoid). There will be several more tasks, which we will split and share with our local colleagues. Italy andDenmark look forward to working together (again) and to be able to teach and support our studentsin order to make them aware of “our common future based on our common cultural heritage; theVikings and the Normans”.

Please make sure to include all project management meetings, events and local activities of eachschool in the section: Timetable

How did you choose the project partners? Does your project involve schools that have neverparticipated in a Strategic Partnership? If yes, please explain how more experienced schools cansupport less experienced partners during the project.

Two participants in this VINO projects have previously been partners in a Comenius project; MsLouise Clemmensen and Arianna Muccio. At that time they were employed at other schools. Workingwith different cultures, arranging school exchanges, planning home-stay with host families, workingout tasks to be solved in cross-border groups and other challenges are considered lifelong learningand a way to improve your intercultural skills.

Auraskolen has a new vision and strategy for the school including international cooperation in orderto improve teaching, intercultural skills of both staff and students, further English as a foreignlanguage and share knowledge in an international context. Auraskolen also considers it important forour students to be able to take part in school exchanges and thus have decided to apply for thisVINO project as the applicant organisation. Working with previous participants was also part of theLLP-programme and both Denmark and Italy look forward to strengthen and expand our relationconsidering our common cultural heritage.

From Comenius til Erasmus; the partnership programmes have been amended both with regards tothe name and the actual content. When the participants took part in the Comenius project (year2004-5) they both gained experience with school exchanges. The experience which Auraskolen hasgained by being partners in Erasmus KA2 projects will be a benefit to all the participants in this VINOproject. Auraskolen will share knowledge and exchange information and documentation which hasbeen developed within the last 2 years.

To be shared:• knowledge and experience with regards to this application where Denmark has offered to be thecoordinator• experience and advise with arranging a TwinSpace for this project and a hands-on course toeTwinning for both teachers and students• previous experience with students and host families; how to arrange (we have added a documentsto be used for this)• knowledge and experience about considering our schools’ curriculums in this VINO project• discuss and learn from Denmark’s experience about dissemination and how to include theheadmasters, colleagues and local school partners

During the process of writing this application we have been in contact via email and Skype. Here wehave been able to discuss, present and acknowledge our twodifferent school systems andcurriculums, which will of course be the basis of this project. But, we consider our VINO-project anextra plus to the curriculums which will also support the students’ knowledge and awareness of theirEuropean citizenship.

List of ActivitiesDo you plan to include transnational learning, teaching or training activities in your project?

Yes

Please describe the practical arrangements for the planned Learning, Teaching and Training activities. How will you select, prepare and support theparticipants, and ensure their safety?

At the beginning of the new school year (2019/2020) each school will invite the parents of the students involved to a meeting at the school and informabout the whole project and the future exchanges between Italy and Denmark. In connection with the meeting we will also inform them about issueswith regards to being a host family, though taking into consideration that some families (due to various reasons) might not be able to host a studentbut will be engaged otherwise. The head teachers will be in charge of sending information to students and parents regarding host opportunities. Theinformation is enclosed in this application and will help the head teachers when matching the students; who stays with whom based on interests andinvolvement. It might be necessary for the students to actually apply for a mobility due to the financial limits, meaning that more students might want to attend themobilities than the project makes it possible. If this becomes a case, we, the head teachers and the contact persons, will choose the students on thebasis of engagement and interest in “our common cultural heritage”, what each individual will bring to the project, previous experience with travelling(some students have never been abroad) and social skills.During meetings with the parents each school will inform about the actual travel arrangements, travel insurance and safety rules (these might vary forthe involved countries; Denmark/Italy).There will be a close cooperation with the school which will be the host school for the visit regarding time of arrival and departure and requests andadvise regarding accommodation for the teachers. All students will be staying with host families. The schools will also arrange for insurance for allstudents and teachers (head masters) who will be travelling. We have applied for funding for students to travel in a smaller group and 2 teachers inorder to ensure their safety. During travelling, students will never be left alone outside the schools. The students will be with teachers, members ofstaff or the hosting families. Description of the activity:● Describe the content, methodology and expected results of the activity.● How is it going to be related to or integrated with the normal activities of the involved schools?

We have planned the following activities in order to make our students aware of their common cultural heritage as a strength for their future.

Writing materials presenting our country and city. Focus on oral and written communication. Listening and speaking drills and practice only inEnglish. We aim to increase motivation and satisfaction in their daily work by having a receiver to our product

A visit at Guldager Plantage. The Village from the Iron Age is situated at a pond in the outskirts of Guldager Plantage. In the farm setting “Vestergård” children work one or moredays with specific Iron Age activities according to the sex roles in families at that time. It could be cooking, textile work, making pots, nursing theanimals, fishing or working as a blacksmith. We could stay overnight in case of very varm weather.Students also visit The Holy Grove to approach thoughts and beliefs from the Iron Age.The methodology is here learning by doing and we expect our students to develop a knowledge of the main characteristics of the original Vikingculture, the splendor of a civilization

The Harbour SchoolFor children working in the Harbour School means sailing with the training boat “Sejen”. In practice, they learn to sail, using oars, sails or a motor.“Sejen” is to have good company from a partner boat which means that a whole group can sail at the same time. In the ‘fishing workshop’ childrencan learn about tying drag knobs and splicings, how to smoke herrings and how to fillet and prepare fish. Safety on board, navigation and rules aboutsea routes are also parts of the instruction in the workshop. The methodology here is flipped classroom. To give the students a realisticpicture/experience of what the Vikings went through in order to go on raids and to get an understanding at The Mediterranean sea as a meeting pointof different cultures.

Science Learning Lab where the approach are active learning methods along with written activities. We expect our students to cooperate throughEnglish which will further their foreign language skills.Language training: Write a story in groups. We will work with technology comprehension in a humanistic perspective using robots to make the stories of ‘The everyday life of a Viking’ and ‘Howthe Vikings came to Sicily’ alive. Afterwards we will film the stories and use it in our final project.

Description of the activity:● Describe the content, methodology and expected results of the activity.● How is it going to be related to or integrated with the normal activities of the involved schools?

During the last meeting between the Italian and Danish teachers involved in the project, we will do an evaluation and assessment of the VINO projectin all its aspect, planning, organization, carrying out, and monitoring. We divide this meeting in 3 parts: evaluation on the partnership, the VINOproject itself and evaluation on the effect and results on our students’ skills.During the meeting, our methodology will be Community Language.

Evaluation on the partnership:

Evaluating the division of tasks and responsibilities, the number of contributions from partners, the regularity of communication, the productivity ofmeetings, the regularity of evaluation and reporting and the existence of feedback procedures.

How was the degree of satisfaction of foreign guests in Italia and Denmark?

Would we be interested in doing another project? In that case, how do we keep in contact?

The VINO project itself:

Our goal was to create further awareness and knowledge about our common cultural heritage did we succeed? Have the students gained theknowledge of the main characteristics of the original Viking culture and the splendor of a civilization? In this context what was a success and what went wrong? Was the students at the end of the project able to recognize that the past traces in one’s own present improving the linguistic competence of thestudents in English. How was the involvement of students in tasks?

Did we manage to widen the horizons of the students in a European dimension, to improve their social and linguistic competences, and the ability towork autonomously and in teams?

Does our students have the expected knowledge of how important the Mediterranean Sea was at that time and still are?

Are we satisfied with the end production or could we have done it in another way.

Evaluation on the effect and results on our students’ skills:

Did our students gain a European citizenship and inter-cultural awareness? How much did the number of students able to hold simple conversations in English increase?Did they gain the knowledge and experience of democratic structures and sense of belonging to the community at a local, national and Europeanlevel that we expected?Do they have an awareness of own identity within the European framework? Will they be able to study alone or in groups more easily using the acquired soft skills, to act without cultural stereotypes and with advantages relatedto the knowledge of English?

Does any of our students, crossed boarders, attend to keep in contact outside school?

Does this activity combine physical mobility with virtual exchanges through eTwinning?

Yes

Please explain how this will be achieved and what the expected benefits are.

We will update our TwinSpace before we meet. The results and the expectations will be presented on our TwinSpace.

How is participation in this activity going to benefit the involved participants?

We are part of Europe, and within the last few years our curriculums have been changed due to inspiration from research from abroad. We want to beopen to the world and to teach and show our students the importance of being part of an international community (EU) and thus their Europeancitizenship. Therefore, teachers' exchanges will be useful in enabling them to increase partnership and collaboration between the two schools in the future and tobenefit from mutual knowledge of different and modern methods and teaching strategies. In addition, in the future, it may lead to another project to improve the idea of European partnership.Increasing motivation and satisfaction in the teachers' daily work is also a strengthening of the future international cooperation.Comparing the two different educational systems and Sharing the different teaching strategies and methodologies experienced during the visits inorder to broaden the teacher’s knowledge and confidents.

How will the participation in this project contribute to the development of the involved schools in thelong-term? Do you have plans to continue using the results of the project or continue to implementsome of the activities after the project's end?

LONG-TERM IMPACT ON STUDENTSIf the main objective is to widen the cultural horizons of the students in a European dimension, theproject is expected to improve the social and linguistic competences, the ability to workautonomously and in a team. All this, subsequently, will have a relapse in the personal and working life of the students, such as improving their:• communication in a foreign language;• digital competence;• personal, social competence and ability to learn to learn;• competence in matters of citizenship;• competence in matters of cultural awareness and expression.

All this should happen because:the students involved in the project will have to communicate and cooperate with people of othercountries, using the tools of a platform to work in cloud mode, social networks, twinspace.Students will increase their knowledge of their cultural background and partner country during theshort-term visits, the knowledge of similarities with their peer groups.Students will perform throughout the project activities such as creative writing, videostorytelling, thereproduction of songs and musical instruments, the creation of videos, participation invideoconferences, the logbook, self-assessment.At the end of the project, in the future, they will be able to study alone or in groups more easily usingthe acquired soft skills, to act without cultural stereotypes and with the advantages related to theknowledge of English. In the long term, therefore, more study and work opportunities and a higher quality of life areexpected.

LONG-TERM IMPACT ON TEACHERSThe teachers of the two partner schools will exchange ideas, thoughts, pedagogical andmethodological material, observe the lessons during the project meetings, learn methods andtechniques for education in active citizenship, inclusive and digital education.Teachers will develop their language, communication, managerial and negotiation skills and teamspirit. Learning different educational systems will increase their motivation and will give them newtools in their future work.

LONG-TERM IMPACT ON INSTITUTIONSThe project will promote cooperation between schools and nations, an exchange of ideas andpedagogical approaches that will lead to the creation of a transnational network and increase the sizeand the European prestige of schools. The institutions involved will succeed in creating an inclusiveenvironment that will help all students to reach their full potential.

Please describe your plans for dissemination and use of project results.

● How will you make the results of your project known within your partnership, in your localcommunities and in the wider public? Who are the main target groups you would like to shareyour results with?

● Are there other groups or organisations that will benefit from your project? Please explain how.

We want to inform about our VINO-project - "Our Common Future based on our Common CulturalHeritage: the Vikings and the Normans" - on a regular basis (min. 4 times a year) during the 2 yearswe have planned for the project.

Thus, we have worked out the following plan:LOCALLY:At each school the contact person will arrange for information about the objectives of this project, theactivities and its progress which will all be linked to the schools' websites and to the TwinSpace. Bothschools have a local online magazine where our VINO-project will be described with text andpictures. The objective is that the whole local networks connected to the schools, students, staff, parent and guests, become familiar with the project. Hence, during mobilities our guests will make"the international dimension" present and specific for all students. The students' activities will bevisible both online and through exhibitions at the schools.

MUNICIPALLY:Both the Danish and the Italian local municipality will be approached in order to make our VINO-project visible on the websites. Since our project is about cultural heritage there will be more localparticipants like museums and cultural institutions interested in our project, its impact and results. The head masters at each school will be in charge of contact to the media. There are networksinvolving other schools in the municipality. At these network meetings the VINO-project will beintroduced and presented as an inspiration for other schools.

NATIONALLY:In Italy and in Denmark there are national meetings for international coordinators (and othersinvolved in working with the international dimension) in connection with the Erasmus programs. Also, the eTwinning ambassadors arrange meetings for international coordinators. At these national eventswe will make sure to present our VINO-project both with regards to objectives, progress and results.

INTERNATIONALLY:As both schools are interested in working in an international context in order to improve our teachingand the students' learning to prepare them for their future on an international job market, we will belooking for and apply for the international events arranged by the EU (LLP) focusing on Erasmus andeTwinning. Here we will be able to share knowledge from our VINO-project, to inspire and to beinspired.
