Theory of Continental Drift

Continental Draft - is the theory stated by Alfred Wegener in 1912. In this theory Alfred explained that how continents moving in Earth’s surface. Alfred trought that before continents moved they were one big continent in “Urkontinent”.

VocabularyPangea - Pangea was the name of Earth, given by Alfred Wegener who find this theory and Pangea means “All Earth”

Fossil - Fossil mean, Ancient animal or organism that become a rock.

Plate Tectonics - Earth broken into small pieces, and this pieces call Plates. Lithosphere are in slow, constant motion and float on convection currents in the mantle.

Summary

It is hard to imagine about 300 million years ago our Earth was only one big continent. And German Professor Alfred Wegener in 1912’s come up with that theory. Every year Earth moving for 3 cm.
