Think of what job an animal could have. Draw a detailed picture and write a story about an animal doing a job like a person.

Mathematics Number: Go to https://diceapp.io/ roll the dice and add the numbers together. If 2 dice is too easy then you can add another dice. Patterns: Here is a pattern below. Red, blue, green, red, blue, green, red, purple, green. Is this pattern correct? What is wrong with it? Have a look at the worksheet attached and see if you can find the mistakes in the patterns. Word Problem: What is missing in the following pattern:

PDHPE Sport: Today you are going to practice the skills you need for long jump. Start by standing on a spot and jumping as far as you can to a new spot. See how far you can jump. Here is a workout challenge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWQxUoHtoVo Here is a jumping song to help you practice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgUDYOlgx1M Father’s Day Gift

Here are three craft suggestions that you can

create and give to someone on Father’s Day. This

can be for Dad, Grandpop, Uncle or a neighbour

who you would like to cheer up. There is a video

and an instruction sheet for each activity. You can

complete 1, 2 or all 3 activities. Most activities will

require some adult assistance/supervision.

1. Photo frame - using cardboard, make a photo

frame. Video link: https://youtu.be/tk2XZWCr0kk

2. A box of coupons – think of all the great things

you can do for your chosen person and create

coupons they can redeem (request) from you at a

later stage. For example, it might be to help them

in the garden. Video

link: https://youtu.be/SXGigCrSpp4

3. Handprint man – paint your handprint to create

an artwork that looks like a person. Video

GIFT IDEA – Photo Frame Items Required: Photo (of you, the family, a favourite place) Cardboard (the thicker the cardboard, the better the outcome) Paint Craft glue Scissors Ruler Marker Link to video: https://youtu.be/tk2XZWCr0kk Procedure

1. Ensure your cardboard is larger than your photo

2. Mark a 1-2 cm margin around your border

3. Cut the rectangle which will be your base

4. You will need to create the border. The length and width need to be the same length as the base frame. Most photos are 15cm x 10 cm so a 1 cm frame would need the long borders to be 17cm and the shorter sides would be 12cm.

5. Glue the photo into the centre of the base frame. Let dry.

6. Paint the 4 border strips. Let dry.

7. Glue on the top and bottom border frames and then the side borders. Let dry.

8. Write some positive words that describe your special person.

GIFT IDEA – Coupons Items Required: Cardboard/paper Container Paint Scissors Ruler Markers Container Link to video: https://youtu.be/SXGigCrSpp4 Procedure

1. Decide the type of cards you wish to create: a. Shapes cut out b. Rectangles cut from paper/cardboard c. Cardboard palm cards/index cards (pre-cut cards)

2. If shapes, trace a template or freehand draw and cut out.

3. If rectangles cut from paper/cardboard, use a ruler to mark the rectangles and cut out

4. If cardboard pre-cut cards, you are ready for the next step

5. Decide what jobs/tasks you are willing to offer such as do the gardening or make a sandwich (see suggestions at the end). Write one task for each card. You can have a few cards with the same thing written on them.

6. Find a container to use to store the cards. I used a take-away plastic container which I painted.

7. Place cards inside and your gift is ready to present.

The concept is that when the person gives you the card, you do the task written on the card. Once the card is used, it is thrown away. Suggested Tasks A hug from me A car wash by me The sweeping of the patio/verandah The vacuuming of the house The serving of a drink (eg I will bring a glass of water to you on request) Request I play a game with them Foot massage Request I watch a movie with them Back massage Request I watch a television show (including sport) with them The removal of rubbish (such as putting out the bin) To make a sandwich of their choice Do the gardening

GIFT IDEA – Handprint Man Items Required: Cardboard/paper Paint (ideally 4 different colours) Marker/texta Coloured paper Glue Scissors Link to video: https://youtu.be/uTiE9Cc6428 Procedure

1. Your cardboard needs to be the length of your two hands touching each other top to bottom.

2. Select a paint colour to be your hair (I chose white) and paint your 3 middle fingers and little finger. Select a paint colour to be your head (I chose orange) and paint your palm and thumb. With your fingers near the top of the cardboard, press your hand (with your thumb stretched out and fingers slightly apart) onto the cardboard. You will need to add the second ear. (You may need to fill in the gaps if your palm doesn’t leave a full print). Wash your hands.

3. Select a paint colour to be your legs (I chose green) and paint your 3 middle fingers. Select a paint colour to be your body (I chose purple) and paint your palm, thumb and little finger. With the base of your palm almost touching the base of your palm already on the cardboard, press your hand (with your thumb and little finger spread out) onto the cardboard. (You may need to fill in the gaps if your palm doesn’t leave a full print). Wash your hands.

4. I made a tie for my person by cutting out a tree on some Christmas wrapping paper but you could add a hammer in their hand or create a toolbelt if you wished.

5. Complete the facial features.

6. Tidy up the cardboard so it has neat edges and you may want to decorate it.

THURSDAY 2/9/21

Count to 8 and shake your left hand 8 times, repeat for your right hand, left leg, right leg and whole body. - Without making any sounds pretend to get a chewy lolly out of your pocket, unwrap it and put it in your mouth. Pretend to chew on the lolly-imagine it getting stuck in your teeth and making it really hard to chew. - Practice saying this tongue twister: Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear, Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair, Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn’t very fuzzy, was he? - For the next activity you might like to get a stuffed toy to help you. You are going to imagine that you are trying to talk to your stuffed animal (or imaginary friend) in the place listed below. For example talking to a friend in the playground at school. 1. Talking to mum at the shops 2. Talking to dad in the movie theatre 3. Playing with a friend in the class during purposeful play 4. Talking to a brother/sister at the park 5.
