Introduction The Right People for Construction Recruitment in Scotland
Contract Scotland has successfully providedTechnical and Professional staff to the
Scottish construction industry since 1990 from our head office in Stirling. An award winning
recruitment consultancy, we have provided temporary and permanent solutions to the
whole construction sector including Architects, Consulting Engineers, Building and Civil
Engineering Contractors, PQS, Local Authorities, Housebuilders and more.
During this time we have built our reputation on the twin parameters of cost and quality.
We provide a value added recruitment service at all stages of the process in ensuring that
all individuals we supply are of the highest calibre available at the most cost effective salary
or hourly rate.
We strive to excel and adhere to recruitment guidelines set by the Recruitment
Employment Confederation and Employment legislation. We aim to introduce candidates
who are at least of second interview calibre gained by fully understanding the job seeker’s
requirements and the prerequisites of the job specification. Couple this with ascertaining
genuine independent references from previous employers prior to CV submission, we are
ensuring the basics such as salary, location or job title don’t become barriers to employment
and don’t waste your time in the interview process.

Since 2004, Contract Scotland has offered a unique service in coordinating and contributing
towards our the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of our temporary
workforce. Initially set up to attract and retain temporary workers, our commitment to our
workforce’s CPD has grown over the years as client demand has increased. We now have a
dedicatedTraining & Development Department that regularly communicates the necessity
for up to date industry required qualifications, facilitating access to courses such as the CITB
5 Day Site Safety Management and full First Aid atWork. These courses are delivered from
our on site dedicated training room at weekends to allow minimal downtime from work
and at significantly reduced prices compared to the industry standard.
We work in partnership with our Clients to ensure the temporary worker supplied is
appropriately safety qualified for the vacant position. The UK Contractors Group (UKCG)
has strived for a fully safety qualified workforce and wants to ensure site members have the
necessary skills to supervise effectively. Contract Scotland shares these goals and aims to
provide our workers with training opportunities wherever possible to improve their
personal and site health and safety.By providing in-house training solutions our temporary
candidates are not at a disadvantage to their permanently employed colleague. Contract
Scotland is offering commitment to their CPD and that investment in their future provides a
highly qualified and loyal workforce for our Clients. Our temporary workers feel secure
that we will provide information, advice and access to discounted training as if they were
employed permanently.Contract Scotland is actively providing a solution to the issue of
improving health & safety training and recognise that we work in partnership with the
Scottish Construction Industry.

WithThe Bridges Programme we have worked
with their "Equipped for the Future" programme

Our staff have been involved in conducting mock

identifying potential work opportunities for
refugees on completion of their course.
We have successfully found employment for four
Refugees from previous courses.
WithThe Raploch URC we were specifically
involved with "Breaking the Mould" which was a

from the Raploch area of Stirling. Our staff were
involved in identifying Construction Companies

on completion of their NVQ.
These activities helped us obtain our Community
