AllInOneCycler™ PCR System

■ Description

AllInOneCyclerTM uses the patented novel alloy block and cutting-edge temperature control algorithm to provide the fastest among the currently released thermal cyclers. This consists of (selectable/interchangeable) 6 different types of block depending on experimental purposes, which are 2 different metals (normal and novel alloy) and classified to 3 sample-well types (96-well, 384-well and slide PCR). There is also precise temperature control system that ensures reproducible results, and the thermal gradient function enables that can be up to 12 different temperatures. Finally, a new graphic interface enables the user to use AllInOneCyclerTM easier with compact and lightweight design and an improved portability

and space efficiency.

■ Features and Benefits

● Fastest ramp rate: A standard thermal block for AllInOneCyclerTM provides

maximum ramp rate at 6.5°C/sec. and the novel alloy thermal block* up to 9.5°C/sec. With this, researchers can save both time and energy along the use of AccuPower® PCR premix technology. Such feature is based on the specific heat capacity of metal alloy that is used in the novel alloy thermal block, which is about 30 % lower than common aluminum block. Thus, the ramp rate of the novel alloy thermal block can go up to 30 % higher than that of aluminum block.

* Novel alloy thermal block: The novel alloy material invented by Bioneer was patented in

Korea and is patent-pending in the United States, Europe, Japan and China.

AllInOneCycler™ PCR System

● High energy efficiency

The lower thermal capacity of novel alloy block enables the reduction of electric energy consumption for about 20 % compared to competitor’s instrument in single PCR experiment.

● Excellent Accuracy and Uniformity

Precise temperature control system improves the temperature accuracy and uniformity on the entire thermal block that includes wells between center and border. As a result, the user can achieve reproducible results because of these thermal reliability.

● Interchangeable thermal block system:

Bioneer provides the interchangeable thermal blocks made of 2 different metals (normal and novel alloy) and classified to 3 sample-well types (96-well, 384-well and slide PCR). The researcher can choose a thermal block among 6 interchangeable blocks for their experimental purposes.

● Thermal gradient PCR:

The researcher can find the optimal experimental conditions easily by using gradient function of AllInOneCyclerTM at once, and also reduce the time and consumables for additional experiments to set optimal condition.

● Easy-to-use interface: Through graphical user interface with 7-inch touch LCD screen, the user can use AllInOneCyclerTM easily and conveniently. In addition, the

user can reduce the time to set PCR protocols by selecting among 8 template protocols supplied in ‘New Protocol’ menu. For high-throughput research, the user can test large amount of samples at the same time by AllInOneCyclerTM PC control software that

operating and monitoring the multiple devices.

● Compact and simple design: Compact and simple design is suitable for small lab space, and easy to move.

■ Description

Exicycler™ 96 is a superior 96-well qPCR system designed for real-time qPCR applications demanding the highest performance. In addition, in vitro diagnostic software packages have also been developed (MFDS, CE-IVD certified versions), which allows the instrument to be used for molecular diagnostic purposes.

■ Features and Benefits● Superior Sensitive Optics by Light Polarization

Bioneer’s imaging technique based on polarization of light provides sensitive detection for robust and reliable results. Our patented polarizing optical apparatus mitigates the common problem of a refection light*, allowing precise quantification and target discrimination. (Figure 1).

*Problem of a reflection light: In the conventional technology, excitation light is generally brighter than the fluorescence generated from the sample. Therefore, light reflected from an optical component interferes with the fluorescence generated from the sample. Furthermore, it is hard to completely distinguish one from the other. This can cause imprecise and unreliable results.

● Excellent Accuracy and Uniformity :

Exicycler™ 96’s precise temperature control system improves the temperature accuracy and uniformity on the whole well of the thermal block. The temperature differences between center and border wells are also remarkably reduced. As a result of the thermal reliability, user can achieve reproducible results (Figure 3). By implementing the in-house designed LT technology in the optics module well-to-well signal variation has been virtually minimized and well-to-well optical homogeneity has been improved. No matter which well the reaction occurs in, the Ct variation will be within 0.3 Ct (Figure 4).

● Self-diagnostics, Automatic Door Open/Close Function, and Intuitive & Convenient Software :

The software of Exicycler™ 96 performs instrument diagnostics before each experiment, preventing run errors from occurring before the experiment and thus saving valuable samples and reagents from going to waste. The loading door is motorized for automatic door opening/closing, which adds convenience and flexibility in operating, as the instrument can easily be incorporated into an automated workflow. A user-friendly interface provides convenience in all steps of the qPCR process including protocol setup, data analysis and result storage. Analysis software that comes with Exicycler™ 96 has 4 different tools - Absolute Quantification, Relative Quantification, Existence/Nonexistence and SNP Genotyping Analysis modules. Users can simply choose an appropriate tool according to their experiment purpose. They can learn how to use the software shortly (Figure 5).

● Dynamic Range of Detection is wide at over 109 range

Benefit of having a wide linear dynamic range is especially important for the quantification of low concentration target. It makes experimentation easier by avoiding re-assays and dilution issues. Exicycler™ 96 has nine orders of magnitude-wide dynamic range especially for the quantitative experiment (Figure 6).

■ DescriptionBioneer's Opaque White 96-well Semi-skirted PCR plate is made of polypropylene material, is especially designed for Real-Time PCR to measure florescence sensitively in result. Opaque White 96-well Semi-skirted PCR Plate can be used the ExicyclerTM 96 and other PCR instrument. Also it has treated with RNase, DNase free to give greater confidence to the user. Compared to the general purpose plate, this Opaque White 96-well Semi-skirted PCR plate has higher signal-to-noise ratio, as well as the reflection efficiency to obtain the higher accuracy of the luminescence measurement. Also the plate prevents crosstalk between each well and light loss between sample and the detector while measuring the fluorescence level by the Real-Time PCR instrument. Each row is marked with alphabets and the column is marked with a number to use conveniently. This semi-skirted plate is much stronger to hold the well's position against vibrations compared to non-skirted plates and gives more accurate results to be obtained.

■ DescriptionOpaque White 96-well skirted, Low Profile PCR plate is designed to prevent sample condensation on the tube surface.Due to its low profile, it is suitable for the sample volume with less than 20 µl for PCR to obtain higher efficiency for small volume PCR experiment. Due to its low height compared with ordinary plate, the air gap between hot lid and sample is significantly reduced. This reduction in reaction volume due to evaporation can be minimized, prevents sample condensation on the tube surface, and gives the higher efficiency of qPCR results. This Opaque White 96-well skirted, Low Profile PCR plate is much stronger to hold the well’s position against vibrations compared to non-skirted plates and gives more accurate results to be obtained.

■ Description

Bioneer’s ExiProgen™ is a fully automated system for various scientific purposes in synthetic biology including synthesis of functional proteins, enzymes, biosimilars, and fragments from therapeutic antibodies. ExiProgen™ is able to synthesize and purify up to 16 proteins in a single run. Simply, plasmid DNA or linear PCR product is added to the system followed by the synthesis of protein from Bioneer’s E. coli extract for the transcription and translation processes. Target proteins are further purified by Ni-NTA magnetic beads in the system using his-tag on the protein. ExiProgen™ yields up to 100 μg of protein with the purity of >90% in 6 hrs. This versatile system also allows purification of nucleic acids from various sources including tissue, blood, bacteria, and plant. ■ Description

ExiCracker™ is a tool which can crush plant sample such as seed, leaf and root. Its simultaneous 16-sample handling makes it faster and more convenient than pestle. It confers lower possibility of sample loss or contamination. Also ExiCracker™-processed sample can be used directly for ExiPrep™ automatic sample prep system or for MagListo™ 5M Plant Genomic DNA Extraction Kit.

Agaro-Power™

■ Description

AgaroPower™ is an agarose gel electrophoresis device with an attached loading adapter so even novices can load up to 96 samples (excluding size markers) within 2 - 3 minutes. The device is composed of a durable polycarbonate material that displays superior durability compared to acryl-based electrophoresis systems. The power supply and gel casting tray are included for easy operation and gel casting.

■ Description

ExiSpin™ has the functions of a vortexer as well as a microcentrifuge in single unit, and will significantly save your time in the lab. ExiSpin™ comes with two rotors; one for 4 x 8-tube strip and the other for 12 x 1.5/2.0 ml tubes.
