1. Being together is the background, source and condition of the spoken word.

2. If being together is lacking, conversation is extremely difficult. If we are with somebody who is living in a totally different world we have to look for words.

3. If two people are living in the same world, conversation runs smoothly, everything is understood.

4. By mutual exchanges, and listening to each other, people could gradually approach a condition where real conversation is possible.

a. People should have the same intuition.

b. Several possibilities: that we can utilize.

- Avoidance.- Or we can come down to the level of

the other one and try to bring him or her up to our own level.

i. We have to talk about things what other person sees.

ii. We should try to lift the other so that we can understand each other on our level.

5. The spoken word.

i. They are united to themselves.

ii. They listen only to themselves.

iii. There is no dialogue.

6. Conversation does not consist only of words or noise…

8. Conversation is possible only if there is secret and a mystery.

Conversation defined:

The being together is the condition to the conversation because it adds a

hidden reality to the things which we can express only indirectly by

expressing explicitly the details of a common world. Those who have no

common secret, no common mystery, have nothing to say. It is only people

who love, who have something to say.
