Terminal C Roadways

1. Laser Scanning is a technique to capture and document As-Built Architectural, Structural and MEP/FP conditions

2. Laser Scanning aids in preparing more accurate base design models which will produce higher coordinated final construction documents

3. Laser Scanning is to be used with, not replace, physical field surveying of existing conditions and will aid in filling the gap between relying on historical As-Built documents and physical field surveying

SUSTAINABILITY AND RESILIENCY Resiliency Program: Began 2014 (Post Sandy)

“Resiliency is the ability of a system to withstand a major disruption within acceptable degradation parameters, recover within an acceptable time, and balance composite costs and risks.” • How to protect Massport facilities against long-term sea-level rise, storm surges,

intense storm events, other unplanned events and threats? • How to maintain and restore operational capabilities during and after disruptive

events? • How to implement a balanced composite cost and risk plan?

SUSTAINABILITY AND RESILIENCY Program Accomplishments:

• Disaster Infrastructure Resiliency Study analyzed risks and vulnerabilities • Floodproofing Design Guidelines made • Temporary Flood Barriers Procured • Operational Flood Plans created for Logan

and Maritime facilities • Tabletop Exercises and Field Drills • Tier 1 assets at Logan and Maritime being

permanently hardened to flooding (7 total for 2016)
