Timeline for PC Job Description

• February – Finish job descriptions, work on guidelines for salary and max # of programs and max # of residents per FTE of PC

• March – Finish guidelines• April – Send both job descriptions and

guidelines to Chairs, PDs and Department Administrators

• Fall, 2014 – Present at GMEC and PD Retreat

Job Descriptons? Pleural?

• Yes

• Academic Coordinator (junior level)

• Academic Program Manager (senior level)

• Why two?

• First level is entry level and oversees the program

• Second level has more experience and has more responsibilities, like writing policies and residency handbooks, etc

Mentorship

• Mentors are available to any coordinator who wants one

• There are currently 5 coordinators who requested and were were given a mentor

• Currently very informal

• Let one of Sharee know if you would like to be a mentee or mentor!

New Coordinator Orientation

• The CAC is working on supplementing the orientation the GME office gives to new coordinators

• Fill in the cracks

• Recruiting for example

• New tools like PC handbook and timeline

• More to come!

• Tuesday, March 4; 11:00-12:00, GME conference room in SOM (free – thanks GME!)
