Introduction

Processes

Given the Concepts which give rise to the Tools, and given the Rules without which the tools could not function, we arrive at the Processes which the other three enable.

These are primarily the “encoding” and the “decoding” processes, but, as shown in greater detail on the right, include the processes of Datum Feature Selection, Tolerance Zone Modifier selection and Feature Control Frame decoding, to mention just a few.

In our next slide, we will look at the Datum Reference Frame Establishment Process in a little detail.
