There are many different types of coral reefs.

Barrier reefs are separated by chanelle from the water to the shore.

A fringe reef grows closer to the shore line than any other reef. So you would probably see it first.

●Atoll is a type of coral reef that surrounds a lagoon.

Where Coral Reefs are Found!

Coral Reefs have to live in certain places to survive.

●Coral reefs are found in shallow unpolluted waters near the equator.

●Coral reefs are found in Australia, Indian ocean, Pacific ocean, and many more.

●Coral reefs are fragile and need a certain temperature to stay alive.

Coral reefs are in danger by people

●People are the greatest threats to coral reefs.

●People kill coral reefs for decorations in fish tank.

●When people drive boats peices of coral reefs brake off when they are not carefull.
