Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous was founded in the year 1966as a minority Christian college by the Sisters of St. Joseph ofTarbes, with the specific aim of providing an opportunity forhigher education for young women in India. For over 50 yearsthe college has been committed to the intellectual progress andspiritual development of young women from across the countryand even other parts of the world. In recognition of itsdedication to the cause of women’s education and itscommitment to excellence for these past 5 decades, it hasreceived many honours and received numerous awards. It isranked among the top twenty colleges in India and the top fivecolleges in Bangalore. It was conferred with 5 star status in 1998and awarded ‘A’ grade by NAAC for three consecutive years withthe high CGPA of 3.7 on a scale of 4. In 2014, the UGC conferredit with the status of ‘College of Excellence’ making it one of thetop ten colleges in India and the only women’s college inKarnataka to merit this recognition. The Post-Graduate centrebegan in 1991 with MA English, followed by MCA, MBA, M.Com(FA) and M.Sc (Organic Chemistry). In keeping with the missionof the college, to turn out intellectually enlightened andcommitted young persons, the post graduate studies centre ofthe college organizes an annual symposium – Jyoti Summit, tofacilitate and encourage research mind-set and interactionwithin the academia and industry.

An era of Industrial revolutionand technological advances, demands the focus on globalfinancial innovation and development. For the betterment offinancial markets, the government has taken many initiativesand introduced numerous financial avenues.

As we know, financial reforms affect savings and on the wholeits effect is ambiguous. Strong financial institutions enablesmobilization of savings. In the absence of established marketsthese savings can’t be directed into investments and drops theeconomic growth rate. To attract savings the market continuesto develop and offers a wide range of financial instruments asper the choice of investors which helps to raise the propensityto save. The main purpose of this conference is to create anawareness on financial literacy and introduce the audience toinnumerable financial possibilities that can benefit everyone.

Jayavaradhan Sambedu is Co-Founder & CTO of Curl Analyticsand has over 16+ years of experience in Banking and FinancialServices Industry. He has led the Easy Trading Connect initiativewhich created two big blockchain consortiums, VAKT andKOMGO, worth of $ 200 million. He is also associated with WeTrade consortium. In his previous stints, he has worked forglobal banking majors such Deutsche Bank, RBS, UBS, CitizenBank & Société Générale. Jayavaradhan has addressed variousinternational forums on Blockchain & Emerging Technologies inUK, Switzerland, France, Singapore & India. He is a part of WorldEconomic Forum’s Blockchain Portfolio and has been a part ofworkshops in Geneva in May’19, he is co-authoring a paperwith them on Governance in Supply Chain. He is a part of

LITD/29 of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on Blockchain and

Distributed Ledgers. He also contributes to TC 307 (ISO) on

Blockchain. Jayavaradhan has addressed IIMS, IITs, and host of

other universities and various meetup events on Emerging

Technologies and he is passionate about mentoring students

and start-ups who work on emerging technologies.

Mr. Subraya M Hegde is a former Joint Commissioner,

Commercial Taxes, Bangalore, who is now serving as Consultant

and Faculty at Fiscal Policy Institute, Bangalore which is a

Directorate functioning under the Finance Department of

Government of Karnataka. As a tax officer he has served as

ACCT (Assessment), DCCT Audit, DCCT (Enforcement), DCCT

(Intelligence & Coordination) in Bangalore, Mangalore and

other places. As a recognition of his commendable service, the

Government of Karnataka has appointed him as a Consultant at

the Fiscal Policy Institute where he is involved in designing and

rolling out VAT and GST training modules and imparting training

to revenue earnings Department of Karnataka, other States and

to the Central Government. He has participated in panel

discussions on GST on AIR and Doordarshan and other regional

TV channels. He has delivered lectures on GST at IIMB, NLSU,

BU, KASSIA and various Trade Associations in Karnataka.
