2.1.1 Create, maintain and enhance effective working relationship.
• Identify the expectations of all internal and external stakeholders and the relative importance of meeting them
• Evaluate how these are met
• Optimise effort/benefit of possible measures to improve working relationships
• Map the necessary processes and their implementation to reach and maintain effective working relationships
• Monitor these relationships and their management
• Review as required
2.1.2 Understand basic accounting
• Understand cost accounting (cost element, cost centre, cost unit, cost management)
• Understand investment appraisal and the related calculation methods
• Understand balance sheet and profit and loss statement

• Understand a few business tools capable of helping the company achieve its objectives
• Understand at least activity based or process based management, KPIs, benchmarking, scheduling, layout, and simulation
