What is this easy read about? Coronavirus has meant a lot of changes.

These changes have been called

lockdown.

The Scottish Government has published

a plan on how to move out of the lockdown.

The plan has different parts called phases.

This is about what happens in Phase

One.

What things must I remember?

Keep washing your hands.

Cough into a tissue and throw them

away afterwards.

people.

Can I see family and friends?

A household is a group of people who live together.

One household is able to meet another household.

This can happen in a garden.

We can sit in the park.

Groups should be of no more than 8

people.

Remember to maintain physical distancing when seeing other people.

How can I travel and get around?

You are allowed to travel a short

distance to go for exercise. Try to travel less than 5 miles for this travel.

If you have to travel try to

Walk,

Use a wheelchair,

Use a bicycle.

Try not to use public transport.

What is happening to education?

School staff are starting to go back to

get things ready for pupils.

More children who are most in need will be going back.

Some people look after children for a job and they are called childminders.

Children will be able to go back to

childminders.

Children will be able to go back to outdoor nurseries.

Some help for children starting primary

and secondary school will start again.

What about jobs and businesses?

A workplace is somewhere where a

person goes to do their job.

Everyone who is able should still work at

home.

Workplaces should let people start work at different times.

Jobs like being a builder will start to go

back.

Things will happen to let people buy and

sell houses in the future.

Workplaces can do things so employees can physically distance when they go

back to work.

What about shopping and food places?

Food drive thrus can start to open again.

Garden centres can start to open again.

What about sport and exercise?

People can do as much exercise as they want.

What about public and community services?

Day centres will prepare to come back.

Social workers will spend more time with

people who need help.

Recycling centres can start to open

again.

Court buildings can start to open again.

What about health and social care services?

Some things that GPs do will start to come back.

Emergency dental hubs will start to do

more things.

Some operations in hospitals will start to

happen again.

Some emergency eye care will start again.

It might become possible to have some

visitors to care homes.

Remember the NHS is still open to help you if you are ill.
