Vin and Elmer Scherrer found Scherrer Construction and begin building barns and cottages in Burlington, Wisconsin and the surrounding communities.

The Scherrer families’ reputation of building quality housing continues as Scherrer Construction becomes incorporated.

Vin Scherrer’s son, James V. Scherrer is elected President and continues the Scherrer tradition of quality craftsmanship throughout the various industries.

James V. Scherrer’s son, Jim is elected President. Jim follows in his father’s footsteps by continuing to focus on the values and service that made Scherrer Construction what it is today.

At Scherrer Construction, we truly understand the importance of community involvement and encourage our employees, family and friends to help make a difference in the world. We’ve established our own non-profit organization called Scherrer Cares and donate to a variety of charities including food pantries, pet shelters, school programs and community fundraisers each year. We even established our own Scherrer Cares Buddy Bench program, an anti-bullying initiative, in which we provide schools with a Buddy Bench to spread kindness and build friendships.
