The Knights of Columbus Our Lady of Lourdes Council #7412 is having a Food for Families food drive today from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to benefit the Our Lady of Lourdes Food Pantry. The pantry needs sugar, salt, cooking oil, cereals, peanut butter, and tomato sauce. Other canned and packaged goods are also welcomed. Please no dented canned goods or opened packages. Together we can help feed our community, together we can make a difference.

Spirit through the Sacrament of Confirmation
last Thursday, May 31.
16 adults also received the seven-fold gifts of the Holy Spirit on May 12.
May they continue to grow in love,
faith, hope, love, and joy. And may their witness be a leaven of faith, hope and love for all of us
in this faith community.

The Ministry of Pastoral Council is to assist the pastor or the appointed
leadership, in discerning the will of God for the parish at this time through the
wisdom of the graced community.

Each Parish is to have a finance council which is regulated by universal law
as well as by norms issued by the diocesan Bishop (Canon 537); in this
council the Christian faithful, selected according to the same norms, aid the
Pastor in the administration of parish goods with due regard to the prescription
of Canon 532.

holy places of worship throughout our 27,000 square miles.

My dear brothers and sisters of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish & School, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your love, support and cooperation in the past 4 years as your brother and as your leader in this parish. I also loved you and served you the best that I could. When I arrived in this parish in June 2014, I was only 4 months in the US. I grew with you to love and serve you as your Parochial Vicar and then as your Pastor in this very multicultural parish community. I also want to ask forgiveness for in whatever manner, I was not able to fulfill your expectations. I request your prayers for me as I will be moving to my next assignment starting July 01, 2018 in the Parish of St John XXIII with the two locations Fontana & Rialto. Only our relationship as Pastor and Parishioners is ending, but our communion in Christ remains, and we continue serving in the same vineyard of the Lord, in the same vicariate and in the same diocese. Deseo tomar esta oportunidad para dar gracias a todos ustedes por su amor, apoyo y cooperación a través de los 4 años pasados, como su hermano y su líder en esta parroquia. Yo les amé y les serví lo mejor que pude.
Cuando llegué a esta parroquia en junio de 2014, solo llevaba 4 meses en
los Estados Unidos. Crecí con ustedes en amarles y servirles como su vicario parroquial y después como su pastor en esta comunidad multicultural. También deseo pedir perdón en cual quiera manera, si no pude cumplir sus expectativas. Les pido sus oraciones por mi, ya que me mudaré a mi próxima asignación a partir del 1 de julio de 2018 en la parroquia de San Juan XXIII con dos locaciones en Fontana y Rialto.
Solo termina nuestra relación como pastor y parroquianos. Nuestra comunión en Cristo queda y continuamos sirviendo en la misma viña de nuestro Señor, en el mismo vicariato y la misma diócesis. There will be no 6:30 p.m. Spanish Mass on Saturday, June 9. There will be ONE multilingual/multicultural Mass at 5:00 p.m. Afterwards, we will gather in the parish hall for a potluck celebration. Everyone will have the opportunity then to express their gratitude to Fr. Jacob. There are sign-up sheets in the vestibule and on the bulletin boards in the church portico to indicate what you can contribute to our Farewell for Fr. Jacob.
No habrá misa de 6:30 p.m. el sábado, 9 de junio. Sola UNA Misa multilingüe/multicultural en ese día y después, nos reuniremos en el salón parroquial para dar gracias al Padre Jacob con una convivencia. Hay hojas de inscripción en el vestíbulo y también en las tablas de anuncios en el pórtico de la iglesia para indicar lo que puede contribuir a nuestra despedida para el Padre Jacob.
