Il futuro e le Wh-questions Words!
Futuro semplice: Will
Di solito si usa per previsioni basate su opinioni:
• I think it will rain tomorrow.
• Penso che domani pioverà
Per esprimere decisioni prese sul momento.
• Ok, I really will stop smoking!
• Ok, smetterò davvero di fumare
• There’s someone at the door. I’ll go!
• C’è qualcuno alla porta. Vado io!
Per offrirsi di fare qualcosa:
•Come, I’ll show you the way.
• Vieni, ti mostro la strada.
Per fare promesse:
• I’ll do it, I promise!
• Lo farò, promesso!
Remember!
• Will può essere abbreviato con ‘ll aggiunto al soggetto
I’ll work
You’ll work
He/she/it’ll work <-- senza la “s” della terza persona
We’ll work
You’ ll work
They’ll work
Interrogatives
Gli interrogativi si usano per fare domande specifiche su luoghi, persone, qualità e orari. Le
parole interrogative in inglese si chiamano WH-question words e sono le seguenti:
•What: cosa
•When: quando
•Where: dove
•Which: quale
•Who: chi (soggetto)
•Why: perché
•How: come

Ci sono quattro modi per
esprimere un’azione
futura:• To be going to
• Present continuous ( o progressive)
• Will
• Present simple
To be going to
Azione futura già visibile nel presente
Azione che chiaramente sta per accadere
• It’s going to rain
• She is going to have a baby
Anche per intenzioni
• I love animals. I’m going to be a vet.
• I’m not going to see that horror film!!
Remember!
Nell’inglese parlato informale / colloquiale e nelle canzoni spesso si usa
“GONNA” al posto di “GOING TO”
• I gonna be a star! Diventerò una stella!
Present Continous
Si usa con un significato futuro quando si parla di azioni
già programmate, progetti per un tempo e/o un luogo
fissati.
•What are you doing this evening? I’m staying in.
• Cosa fai stasera? Sto a casa.
•We’re flying to London in April.
• Andremo a Londra (in aereo) in aprile.
Remember!
Going to vediamo il futuro già nel presente.
Will pensiamo o crediamo che accadranno certe cose nel futuro.
Present Continous futuro programmato
• Look! That man is going to fall!• Guarda! Quell’uomo sta per cadere!
• Don’t give him the watch, he will break it!• Non dargli l’orologio, lo romperà!
• I’m leaving tonight!• Partirò stasera!
Wh-questions
• In inglese si chiamano wh-question words gli interrogativi che
iniziano tutti (o quasi) con WH-
• What: cosa / che cosa
• When: quando
• Where: dove
• Which: quale
• Who: chi (soggetto)
• Why: perché (nella risposta: because)
• How: come
Le domande si formulano con la Wh-question word, l’ausiliare To Do
o To Be, il soggetto e il verbo
