2. We chose to have the lead girl to wear this dress as in this scene she had to look smarter. Plain black dresses were worn in the 1960s as well as neckerchiefs.

1. This dress seemed suitable due to the pattern and the colours used – they resemble dresses worn in the 1960s, so make the film look realistically filmed in the 1960s.

3. This dress was again patterned, which was very popular in the 1960s, from our research we knew that the majority of the costumes our lead girl wore had to be patterned and colourful.

Female Outfits

4. We wanted this outfit in the film as it shows another type of 1960s outfit – other than a dress. Leggings were popular in the 1960s so it was good we included these in the film opening.

Shoes

1. We chose to have the lead girl wear these shoes as they correspond with the 1960’s fashion and are age appropriate (height of the heels). The colour was also popular in the 1960s.

2. We chose to have the lead girl wear these flat black pumps as they were worn in the 1960s.

3. The lead boy wore these shoes as men in the 1960s mainly wore smart shoes like these.

Male Outfits

1. We felt it was very important to dress the lead boy in a leather jacket as it was an iconic piece of clothing in the 1960s.

2. Jeans were often worn by men in the 60s unless a suit was worn. Due to the age we felt it more appropriate to put the lead boy in jeans not a suit.

Male Outfits

3. We chose for the lead boy to simply wear a white t-shirt when just out with the girl as it was plain and commonly worn in the 1960s.

4. When we filmed the lead boy having a milkshake with the girl we thought it necessary for him to look smarter, we therefore placed him in a white shirt as they were commonly with suits in the 1960s.
