Officer Training Modules
There are 5 Modules in Club Officer Training:
1) This module that gives an overview
2) Module 2: Spending Money
3) Module 3: Event Planning
4) Module 4: Fundraising
5) Module 5: Tips for being a club officer
The Purpose of Today’s Training
• Give a brief overview of some of the policies and procedures the clubs need to follow
• Provide you with some helpful resources
• Specifically, we will talk about:– What it means to be a club officer
– Club money: how to spend it
– Planning events: reserving space & equipment on campus
– How to fundraise
– Club travel
Training Information
• It should take you about 1 hour to go through the online training.
• You can start and stop the training, returning to it at a later time if you don’t finish it in one sitting.
• There is A LOT of information, so take your time & read carefully!
• There is a online quiz that you will need to complete after you do the training. You must pass the quiz in order to have successfully completed Club Officer Training.
The Club Officer Manual
• Your Club Advisor has given you a Club Resource Manual for you to keep.
• Please follow along in this Manual as you do the training.
• The Manual contains more detailed information and samples of forms.
• You are responsible for the complete policies in the manual, so please review the manual if you have questions.

• Student Life & Leadership is responsible for:– Planning campus events
– Services such as free fax service, student handbooks, student insurance, and campus postings
– Leadership development: retreats, workshops
– Community Service events
– AND serving as a resource for clubs & organizations

Other PVCC Offices to Know
• Facility Use (schedule all college spaces including the outdoor areas and classrooms)
• Administration Offices (where the College President, Vice President & Dean Offices are located)
• Cashiers Office (where the money is kept!)
• Maintenance & Operations (the ones who set up the tables and tents)
• Cafeteria (provide catering & food safety issues)
