GREETINGS COU

FRIENDS, As we enter May, spring is in full bloom and is calling each of us to grow in new ways too! In conversations with people in and out of our spiritual community, I recognize that some people are feeling overwhelmed with the expanding freedoms to reengage in life after a year of staying home. Even a simple invitation to go out to lunch can feel daunting! As we continue our series, Adventure in Resilience, this month, I invite you to tap into your inherent spiritual powers to support, guide, and enliven the ways you are engaging in life. Call upon your powers of faith and wisdom to guide your ability to say “Yes.” Activate your power of strength and will to give you the courage and perseverance to step out in new ways. Engage your powers of imagination and understanding to discover creative solutions to any obstacles. Expand your powers of love and zeal to enthusiastically attract the perfect circumstances and people to you. Use your powers of release and power to get clear about what to let go of and

what you want to welcome. Tap into the power of life and order to find the perfect vitality and sequence to manifest all that you desire. I invite you to listen for the ways that Spirit is calling you to reengage with your spiritual community and plan to join us on Sunday, May 23rd for an outdoor cookout and volunteer fair after the service. In the spirit of growth and positive change, every Sunday in May we are experimenting with a new way to interact with you during services. At the end of each message, I will take a few minutes to answer any questions that may arise listening to the message. Perhaps you’d like more clarity or don’t understand a term I’ve used – just ask! Those who are watching virtually can type your question in the chat box. Those in person can simply raise their hand. I am excited to see how this unfolds! With love and blessings,

Rev Linda

Sharon Connors. We'll take a fresh look at these classic Unity teachings and ex-plore how we can use these gifts and abilities in our daily lives. Then on Sunday, May 30 Rev. Linda’s talk, “Let Freedom Ring,” will be in honor of Memorial Day.

THURSDAY, MAY 6

The National Day of Prayer in May was established in 1952. Always on the first Thursday in May, this year it falls on May 6th. We are encouraged to hold in the light families, education, media and entertainment, government, all spiritual beliefs, first responders, and busi-ness. As we embrace these areas, we also affirm healing for our communities, our country, all coun-tries, all people, and for the planet.

For the month of May we are changing the normal Friday Fellowship & Fun from the third Friday to the third Sunday. We’re taking a break from games and are ready to

enjoy some in-person visiting, fellowship and good food at Rio Mambo in Colleyville. We will be trying to get on the patio.

RSVP by May 12th to Barbara Luders Text: 682-208-9334 or email: [email protected]

METAMORPHOSIS Spring brings visions of new beginnings. Easter is celebrated, new plants are starting to bud and grow, insects and animals are birthing, and our church is beginning a new cycle. We are begin-ning to enjoy opening our church for in-person services, while continuing the broadcasts online. This is a new way of doing services for our church and many other organizations. We have new hope for progressing through the year that the virus will be declining every week and our enjoyment of gathering continues to grow. One of the ways of change at our church is at the last board meeting we voted unanimously to spend $5,300 to get new cameras up and running in the sanctuary. These cameras are the new digital technology that we have dis-cussed at the Town Hall meetings. These are needed to get a quality pic-ture for the streaming services that are reaching out in our community.

We have all grown accustomed to going about our day in a new way. This new path seemed strange at first, but continued until it became the way we do our daily routines. Incorporated into these new rou-tines was a new way of "going to church." We are grateful that we could attend church and continue with our routine of gathering with like minds. We could gather in zoom classes, which is a blessing that we enjoyed! We will still have a few adjustments as we continue with this period of time in our lives. We are grateful that our church is able to upgrade our technology to continue to grow on the internet and reach people all over the world. This will help our church grow in ways we could not have imagined just one year ago. We are reaching people in many other states and possibly other countries, that traditionally we could not have reached.

We are grateful that our ability to grow has occurred at this time. Our church has undergone a change that is like a caterpillar changing into a butterfly. We are still in met-amorphosis, but we are ready to emerge and enjoy our new life with wings that enable us to fly. We still have a few changes that need to occur with the technology at our church, but we will be checking out each stage and completing, with your help, each step together. We will emerge with a new pres-ence in the universe just as Jesus emerged from the tomb and arose to his spiritual potential. As we reach our potential, who knows how far we can go?
