Мені було приємно провести ці останні два тижні на цього-річному таборі із усіма вами. Я вірю що ви всі мали тут дуже гарний час. Погода була чудова, їжа була смачна. Велика подяка усім організаторам цього табо-ру. Вони вклали дуже багато праці щоб вам тут було якнай-краще. Я маю надію що ви ще приїдете на табір, а підчас року не забудите про ваших друзів та про ОДУМ.

Dear ODUM campers,

It was my great pleasure and hon-our to spend the last two weeks with you at this year’s ODUM camp as your komendant. ODUM and ODUM camps have been an important part of my life and continue to be. I hope it will also be for you. Many friends I met at ODUM camp when I was young (many of which are your parents) continue to be good friends today. I hope you will have the same experience. Have a great summer and I hope to see all of you again next year.

Another awesome year at ODUM has come to an end much too quickly. This year on komanda, I was able to experience camp from a whole new perspective. I was able to become close to all of the camp-ers, as opposed to only a small group. Also being on komanda I have grown as a leader and gained experience for challenging life expe-riences. It has been awesome work-ing with all of the staff. Without them, camp would not be the same. All of this year’s memories and jokes have made this year the best one yet. I wish everyone an awesome year and hope to see everyone back next year… or else! –Larissa Szwez

ODUM camp 2010 has been one of the greatest years of my life. I love this year’s kids. They have been so much fun, from football to bead-ing. This year has also brought a lot of new experiences. Bringing up “I’m Awesome” to a whole new level has brought a new perspective to my life. I hope that the friends I have made are friends for life. To end my essay, I leave a few words of wisdom for the younger groups: you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take in life. – Mike Konowal

Today was the first day and everyone came! It was so exciting to see everyone today. I missed everyone so much! It was like a reunion with all of us best friends. We started class-es today with lessons on campers and their age traits. At night all the хлопці and дівчата hung out and bonded like old times. Crazy night! – Lana Fenkanyn

Malyata

Today we worked with the малята. They had lots of energy and were fun to work with. We had to walk around and find things that we could use to decorate a birdhouse with. We used pinecones, bark, leaves and anything else we could find. We also used paint, ribbons and a lot of glit-ter! --Zenon

Swimming

Swimming was a great way to get out of the heat and cool off. Of course, you can’t go into a pool without fooling around with everyone else and start-ing up games. We had some great times cooling off in the water after activities in the sun. --Oksana

Today we all did our гутірки and it was really fun and interesting. The гутірки were on water polo, jujіtsu, and wrestling. We also participated in hockey drills and learned what signs mean when you referee in hockey. These were really good experiences and we were introduced to a lot of new and fun activities. --Sofia Kolobabiuk

The day after the river hike was exhausting and long. We did our гутірки today, and there were many good lessons. My гутірка was on jujitsu and everyone seemed to enjoy seeing Simon being taken down. The day is slow and full of studying for the test we have tomor-row. – Alex

The hike

We hiked for 3 hours before reach-ing the річка. As we walked through the river on our hike, a big black dog found us and followed us for the rest of the hike. As we walked through the river, the water got deeper and deeper and we came across many unique sites ranging from a mansion to a shelter constructed from sticks (hobo house). The river hike was a once in a lifetime opportunity. –Matt

Camping

The hike was amazіng! The річка was fun, but painful. As the day progressed, the water got deeper and the rocks more slippery. Once we got to our camping grounds we had to find firewood fast and had to set up camp. That night Tamara and Sofia Kolubabuik had a great idea of staying up all night. I don’t know how they did it! -- Dion

campingDuring виховний табір we went camping. It was great! We got to build our own tent, make a fire and cook our own dinner. It was such a great experience and I can’t wait to do it again next year. --Stephanie

We went on an exhilarating hike through the woods surrounding the оселя and through the річка. We ended up camping out on a field behind the hall. We set up camp and built a tent with only two tarps and some rope. It took some time, but eventually we got the job done. Sleeping with the bugs on the other hand was brutal, but so worth it. --Kaitlyn

VatraWhat a way to end my first week at табір, enjoying the open night sky over a lazy crackling bonfire with friends and family. The night air is calm as campers both young and old sing and laugh together and time around us seems to slow down. --Simon M
